Still disagree with those Panthers announcers. It's a tough sport. If you're going to play a tough game, you need to answer the bell once in a while, even if you play clean. It's always been that way. It was that way in the 20s, it was that way in the 60s, it was that way in the 80s. I'm glad the game is still at least tough enough for that to still be the case in the 2020s.
There were never fights after clean hits until recently. Over the last 10 years the amount of fights after clean hits has exploded while the amount of fights in other situations had decreased drastically
@@f_homo-s I was born in the 80s. I grew up on 90s hockey. Players would fight for any reason and no reason. Including clean hits. It was always a thing. The difference now is fights only happen from natural reactions, meaning fights happen more often from hits than just because one guy asked another guy, so you're just noticing it more.
I remember watching these videos after coming home from hockey on Sunday night when i was in high school and middle school. Really great to see that you’re still making these. Much love and respect.
I really disagree what the sharks vs panthers commentator said. Yea they were good hits but it’s still called “standing up for team mate” to basically say “you aren’t gonna be hitting my team like that without scrapping”
Yeah 100% listening to him say that and then watching the sharks player tangle the panthers players arm as he runs him to the boards it feels like we are watching two different feeds.
I've never seen that Gavavich vs Smith that was a solid tilt but I totally agree with what the announcer said after the tilly. The nature of that hit was deserving for the bell to be answered
Born in the 50’s, started watching and playing in the 60’s and I’ve seen the game change from superstars like Bobby Orr defending himself and everybody on your team being able to do the same to superstars like Wayne Gretzky having bodyguards like Dave Semenko and Marty McSorley to protect him to now where clean hits start a Donnybrook! And whatever you do don’t drop the gloves! Like all sports, intimidation is part of the game and especially in today’s game if you can’t skate fast enough you need to be able to do something to even it up and that will sometimes come in the form of rough stuff, maybe even a fight. But those days are coming to an end. What I mean is games that are carried nationally the linesmen get in there pretty quickly to stop the rough stuff, whereas the games carried locally the linesmen may take their time stopping the rough stuff. This IS NOT a hard and fast rule it’s only an observation. I’m thinking that the “fighting” will be completely eliminated in 5 years sure, there’ll be the occasional fight but both players will be kicked out and the instigator will be assessed the extra penalty and therefore teams will see it’s not worth the time to be shorthanded. One final thought, most fights start because the referees don’t make the call on the original infraction, if they did then many “fights” wouldn’t happen. Just an observation….
I really don’t like the Rangers, but a guy who might be the best D-man in the league (and a consistent league leader in ice time) answering the bell when the bread man takes a hit is probably a reason why they’re consistently in the mix. Guys like that stepping up are the reason I love hockey… even though I can’t stand the damn Rags.
Panthers announcers are the reason people are soft. Its protecting a teammate without a stick. Dude was thrown down on his head while the puck was already gone
Sees the 2nd Gadjovich hit & says idk y he needs to stand up for himeself after 2 clean hockey plays. *Watches replay & reiterates it* Yeah um thats a board. Smh. I hate homer announcers.
It's called intimidation, make the other team too scared to hit your star players, makes their life easier out there on the ice if someone blast your star and you catch an ass kicking for it.
It’s the fact that players are clearly tryna target him and rough him up more than they would others simply cuz he’s the next generational talent that’s BS and prob drew the reaction. Everyone was tryna give him the “welcome to the league” moment which is stupid.
Bedard is not kid anymore...he plays with adults...HIT was so clean that u dont even need windex for it...and take the silver spoon out of Bedards ars.

Plus, it keeps your favourite players healthy. The fear of being beaten to a pulp is what keeps superstars from getting hit more often.

also how Smith makes his paychecks and why he’s there to begin with
if ur basing it off the first cats clip, it wasnt the panthers announcers, it was the sharks’

That’s what I’m doing now 😂 I was just at a game and a (small) fight broke out

I absolutely love this series. I've watched every single video in order. Please make a part 19 and keep going. Love your videos.
Funny how Gadjovich and Smith switched teams lol
Jens is fire with the compilations!!!
The best NHL compilation channel by far
I've never seen that Gavavich vs Smith that was a solid tilt but I totally agree with what the announcer said after the tilly. The nature of that hit was deserving for the bell to be answered
Gallagher has made enough to take care of that balding 😂😂😂
Only women have long hair 😂
Man I love the Red Wings
how could you not love our team man 💪🏾

how did Gallagher not get an extra 2 for shooting the puck that long after the whistle went lol
Yeah I’m surprised as well, that was at least 4-5 seconds after the whispers blown
More love this series
"Why does Gadjovich have to fight?"
He dropped his gloves first! 🤦♂️😂
2:01 I'm a Sharks fan but seeing Eklund being ragdolled around was kinda funny ngl 😂
Where is Gallagher’s big hammer and all those watermelons? I recognize that bald spot anywhere!!!

love these comps
I’m sorry but that sharks panthers hit was a dirty hit lmao
Wish Boll was still playing one of my favorite all time Jacket
Keep up the good work and content 😊😊
Bet you won't find any leafs highlights here.
Did you see McCabe yesterday
@@jonah.donohue yup I did, but had nothing to do with protecting a teammate
Why do people slap the glass when there’s a fight? Genuinely asking.
love your vids
Lots of Panthers in this vid 😂
6:50 how do the rangers get a power play there. fox was crosschecking him and no penalty lmao. the New York refs.
Sees the 2nd Gadjovich hit & says idk y he needs to stand up for himeself after 2 clean hockey plays. *Watches replay & reiterates it* Yeah um thats a board. Smh. I hate homer announcers.
Куликов показал Бедарду, что здесь не балет. Юнец он совсем.
Who started the mouthguard half out the mouth chewing on it? Lol everyone does it makes no sense
3:50 what the hell kinda chest protector is smith wearing
holy bald spot there gallagher
Starting a fight with someone who just did a clean, awesome, perfect hockey check is not sticking up for your opponent, it's being a poor sport.

I don’t think the hit on panarin was late
3s3c after the puck is gone so yeah late hit
How is the first one here
7:54 I’m sorry, but there’s no need to jump the guy after a clean hit. Play on and keep your head up rookie.

That smith dude sucks
Rasmussen is a bust. Waste of a first round pick. Absolute waste.
defensively responsible player who PKs and plays a physical game. has over 250 games played. you could ask for more but absolutely not a bust at 9OA
@@nvsbltyMeh not worth the pick
The Sharks announcer needs to be out of the league.
That's never going to happen 😂.
The amount of trash announcers in this vid is insane
