I have both also. I use the sorby for flat tools such as skews, parting tools, etc as well as spindle roughing gouges. I use the CBN wheels for bowl and spindle gouges.
I have both also. Pro Edge much more user friendly, though I find sharpening the skew a challenge. The handle of my skew keeps touching the motor housing on the left side. I contacted Sorbey and they said to change the angle of the sanding belt to about 15 degrees. It helped a bit
Agree on the skew. Thanks for the comment. I did watch a video on that problem awhile ago, it helped but didn’t solve the problem. Ended up sharpening free hand.

I’m pretty happy with both also, Question which one if had to recommend to a beginner would you choose. I’m on the pro edge side of that question.
