Give you massive props for acknowledging that there are legitimate national security concerns around tik tok, it's human nature to have blinders on when something can impact your business
If Tik Tok gets deported from the US, creators are creative and will find new ways to connect. Stan will evolve alongside creators, grow stronger, and ultimately continue thriving

IG and TH-cam must be chomping at the bit. TH-cam has already been increasing efforts into TH-cam Shorts the last couple of years. If this TikTok ban goes through, I can see them rebranding Shorts into its own short form content platform to replace TikTok.

Amazing video on crisis management , its fascinating how you collected data to make right decisions, and quickly got in front of your customers to help alleviate their concerns . It will just slow your growth and slash the revenue slightly. BUT, if it does happen I think you should just follow the creators because ultimately you have to go where they go and than double down on that new path. VC pressure might increase :) Rooting for you guys!

The scripted vlog format that you've been doing has been awesome (and might appeal to a wider audience than something like this), but I love this slightly different format where you're cutting and splicing actual meetings that you're having day-to-day.

Curious to hear your thoughts -- in a world where TikTok in the U.S. goes away completely vs. is sold / spun out, is TH-cam or Meta better positioned to win short-form video? My hunch is TH-cam but I'm not well versed on either.
I think IG will likely be categorical winner in short-term, TH-cam mobile is still kinda iffy and I don't think it's wired into folks' brain like the IG pathway. TH-cam will definitely win a ton too to be clear.
Hi this happened in India already - so you can see the trends on which apps creators pivoted to.
It may just be the right opportunity for you to enable your clients on the other platform.

@@jayhoovy Most of the creator shifted to Instagram. And few new platforms emerged specifically replacing tiktok (moj, sharechat, and more)
@@jayhoovy It all shifted to Instagram and Snapchat broski. And there were a couple of clones that tried to copy the TikTok thing, but Reels & Snapchat grew immensely thereafter.

its just the top content creators and everyone put businesses and everything in there that made tiktok more trending than youtube shorts.. youtube people just use that to WATCH videos and not as much as shorts. as people make less revenue off shorts too compared to tiktok.
