This song simply resonates with my soul right now. I lost my Beloved Bride a week and a half ago on August 13, 2017. We were two weeks away from our 18th anniversary. She had been fighting Stage 4 colo-rectal cancer since November 2013 and there was just nothing more that we could do. I stood by her through that entire battle and finally was able to get her into in-home hospice where she spent her last days. We had no children and she was my entire world. To say that I am heartbroken doesn't even begin to describe how I am feeling, but if I were given the chance, I would absolutely do it all again! I am a better man because of her. My Tricia was 47 years old; far too young to have to endure the things that she did for so long, but her strength and grace amazed me from the time we met until she took her last breath. I am a very fortunate man to have been chosen by her. I promised to spend the rest of my life with her... she DID spend the rest of her life with me. Rest now, my Love... we will see each other again.

I played this for my sister. Her husband passed from Agent Orange from exposure in Viet Nam. She said she loved him so much and so deeply, she might have preferred to not know that deep of a love and lose him. Don't think I can say the same. He passed 24 yrs ago. She has yet to be on a date. The pain and sorrow will never leave me, but even had I known it would end this way, I never would have given up the chance to spend 11 years with the most amazing man on earth. I lost the love of my life of 4 yrs to liver cancer 9 months ago. If I would've known how short our time was I'd still do it all over again.
