This is probably the best video about the topic. Their cooling design turned out to work incredibly well and efficiently too.. It really just seems to come down to optimizing the airflow as much as possible I'll be trying to see if there are any ways to apply this concept to my current laptop, the asus g16 2023. This model has a 3rd small fan that is supposed to push air into the rest of the system, but it really doesnt seem to make much of a difference as the air barely manages to escape through the back. Maybe using some foam to redirect the airflow directly towards the back like they did with these lenovo laptops might bring some improvements in the cooling. Great video dude
Intresting technology and thanks for such a different content than other creators. I have orderd one of them, excited for it. Hope this cooling works as intended!
Very detailed video. I have one question. How durable do you think the foam on the back panel is that eventually creates the hyperchamber. I'm a bit worried about the durability of that foam and the dependence of the whole cooling system on it.
I don't think it's fully dependent on it, but it does play a key role. I think you'll find it's pretty durable. It didn't feel like a cheap foam to the touch, but rather dense. Lenovo aren't the kind of company to take a shortcut there imo. Maybe if you were taking it apart all the time and putting it back together? But that was happening in demos all weekend at this event and I didn't see it looking impacted.
Depends how much you spec it up from the base model. You can spect the i up to a point where it feels like a Pro in some instances. The cooling is reliable, but you may want to keep your eye on the new Snapdragon Elite X laptops coming out like the 7x. Because it should help one of the biggest issues with the current squad of gaming laptops - battery life!
@@motivatedtravel he wants a gaming laptop not a productivity laptop. sorry but thats bad advice. snapdragon is not what u want out of a gaming laptop....... many games dont work and the gaming performance is horrible compared to amd and intel. the new intel core ultra and 300hx amd cpus have improved battery life, same performace as last gen chips while using less watts... plus theres no good dedicated gpus with snapdragon... for gaming a snapdragon is literally the worst thing u can buy
@@mi5iu491 Since I wrote this post Snapdragon computers are more common. I actually reviewed the 7x and you're right, the gaming performance was really disappointing!
They took us through some bench-testing off camera, and it was very thorough. The results looked reliable and impressive. The audio differences between pre coldfront and post coldfront of laptops with same specs was significant!
Great and really "one of a kind" video. Keep this kind of content flowing :)
Thank you! Lovely to hear such kind words!
Interesting content thanks mate
Cheers for letting me know. I found it really interesting, too.

Thank you! Glad you liked it. As soon as he started walking me through it I thought, "I have to film this!"
Thanks Chris for the video!
You're welcome!

Thank you, appreciate the kind words. Let us know what you think when you've got it.

@@motivatedtravel hmm that's reassuring. Thanks a lot
I got a question, i want a 5i 2024 i9 14th with 4070. Should i buy the pro or this one? This new cooling system is reliable in this configuration ?

@@motivatedtravel Alright. Thanks
Better screen, maybe a decent IPS with mini LED backlight and speakers like MacBook Pro or Asus g16.
Which product are you referring to specifically from the range?
