wanna know plane owners jobs because I wanna become an airline pilot and that pays a decent amount and even then it would be hard to buy a plane

Brokeyz Popcool You’ll starve the first 10 years of your career. And that’s if you can get a job with the bigs. Usually you’ll have to starve for 5 or more years waiting to get a job for the bigs. And once you get there, you’ll starve and beg for seat time. But after a looong time, you’ll make captain and then you’ll start making real money. Don’t get married and dear god, don NOT have kids. If it’s just you, and you love ramen noodles and living in squalor and out of a gym bag, you can do it.

@@devon7840 Any fair faced girl knows how to get that kind of money but most are not interested in flying. They have other priorities.

Since I don’t have a “fair face” I can assure you many of us girls work out asses off and make many sacrifices to fly. I joined the military and basically have cut off all other hobbies, drive an older vehicle, have side gigs as much as possible. Don’t go spreading rumors that women can bat their eyes and have money thrown at them. That’s stupid.

Amy! Thanks for stepping out of your comfort zone. I absolutely love your content. It was really nice to see you! I look forward to seeing all the conversions you have planned. Woodstock is an excellent plane and your wisdom makes a great plane even better. Thanks for putting all the time to share this with us. I wish I could fly.

New Subcriber! And a fabulous aeroplane! It looks very comfy and cosy inside, plus incredibly sharp and elegant from the outside. Your airport seems quite busy! Were my dad keeps his plane is a farm airstrip with 8 planes in total, you get there most days with no one else around. Hope you enjoy many flights with this new aeroplane!

  • @TachyonDriver

Woodstock! A cute fitting name, for a cute little yellow aeroplane. Snoopy would be jealous! Thank you for the tour and the flight. The polished metal works really well with the yellow IMHO.

Those colors are amazing and really come to life in the sunshine - that would be Woodstock's cheery yellow and the pilots beautiful red hair! I think the mix of yellow and polished aluminum is a great safety feature for visibility - the hi-vis yellow fuselage for near-range traffic spotting and the polished surfaces for distance. Sometimes the best long-range alert to other traffic is the reflection of sunlight off a polished surface. You got me sold on the airplane!

Good move! I lived in Port Angeles from 2002-2019 and flew Rite Bros. C-150 until just
before they sold it. Had a lot of fun, but got into some situations where more power
and fuel capacity would have made life a lot easier. The other thing you want in the
area is lots of glide ratio - that water is cold! I'm glad you are getting to fly the Olympic
area - very beautiful and educational place to do it.

Looks like a nice slippery airplane, NACA ducts and all, be safe and enjoy! Fly by stick is great, I also forgot about it after the first minute, much nicer than yoke. 🙂 Yes those are Fowler flaps and agree the handle would be better. The Diamonds were great with the trailing caster nose wheel, nice big Rudder, no need for nose wheel steering. I also remember transitioning from MPH to Kts. Agree on getting a separate DG although the switchable horizon is neat. Maybe you can slave a GPS to the future DG/CDI which can be nice. The Diamonds stalled the same can keep the stick all the way back the whole time, clearly the VSI shows the descent. I look forward to other videos, nice landing BTW 👍

It appears to provide joyful flying for you. Congratulations on finding this sweet craft.

Nice looking and handling bird. I used to fly a Cardinal 177B in hard IFR with no auto pilot installed and then transitioned to a Mooney 201 that was really fun to fly. Now I don't fly because it got to be too expensive for me and I have so many other hobbies. Next year (March 2021) I'm beginning the adventure of a lifetime by thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. I'll be vlogging that. I only wish back in my flying days that I had access to iPhones and GoPro's. It would have been so much fun to have records of my flights. I did fly into Oshkosh several times in the Cardinal from New England and in a Mooney a few times. John from MI
