I'm traveling this week, so unfortunately I couldn't prepare a full-blown tutorial on Midjourney prompting methods.
However, I didn't want to leave you hanging which is why I recorded this brief video a Chrome extension that I've been working on for quite some time now.
It's not an overly complex extension, however, I do believe it will help many of you save tons of time by eliminating the necessity for constant copying and pasting of text in Discord.
We all know how tedious that can be, so even just saving on a few clicks can add up to more convenience in your prompting.
The extension is called "Promptalot Helper" and it is meant to complement the projects that I'm working on, including the Promptalot website as well as Midjourney Stats, which many of you are already familiar with.
In today's video, I'll be focusing only on the extension itself.
I'll record a dedicated video about Promptalot itself at some point but it's still in beta and not really ready for wide release yet.
But rest assured, once it is, you'll be the first to know about it.
I hope some of you find this little tool useful and as always, I'm open to feature requests.

DANG! That could have saved me many hours - and will in the future!
Between Dec. 2nd last year and today I did 11,300 single prompts (48 per day on average).
If I would have had that extension during that time, I could have saved about 5 seconds on each prompt. That equals two full workdays. So - what Christian did here is absolutely time changing ...uhm ... saving! So what smells like a "brain fart" to him (his words), smells like more freedom to us! Thanks a lot! I started an Excel-sheet today to make serious business of my prompt archiving. And not even 3 hours later I see this video and think. Thank god, cause this is gonna save me a lot of manual copy and post, Not only at creating but also in archiving my prompts.

There is paid option later on for those who are more serious about their organizing/archiving needs. It's all work in progress at the moment. I don't intend to use anyone's prompt or images for anything, to be honest.

This is sweet. I’ve been building a “promptalot” system myself in obsidian. I have subject fragments, style fragments, parameters fragments, and Combinator fragments. I can use these to quickly build new props of different weights and other parameters. Thanks for making this extension. I’m definitely gonna check it out

WOW, Just Wow, I don't know if this viedo is related to the question I asked you some time ago, but it was just overdelivering :))) So nice, Can't wait for more extras :)))
The Feature i would like to see in the future is a drop down menu to select best automatic prompt for specific category with automatic negative prompts - we just add what needs to be created add we can select style from dropdown whether its a digital art or vectors logo or oil paint art etc with appropriate negative prompts just like stable diffusion web UI.
Can you add this to the Canny.io feature request page?

Looks good. What would also be useful is a button to save the full-sized upscaled image immediately to your local storage, to avoid the torturous 'open in browser', right-click, save as... routine.
Umm, there already is a button for that. It just can't do the "Save as" part unless your browser settings are set up that way.

Nice one! Had to create one Discord bot for Midjourney myself. your extension looks powerful
Plus it looks so much more professional now when I prompt.
In the Alpha for MJ, we have a button or right click (USE PROMPT) which loads the prompt, and (ADD TO PROMPT) winch adds the image to the prompt, you can add any MJ image you can scroll to.
Yep. This is not meant to replace the web UI though.
The ability to download image directly is amazing! My settings in Chrome default to letting me choose the name and location with every download...so win, win! Thank you!

omygoodness, this looks very complicated and scary for a newbie. Seems like a big learning cruve for non-techie people. I am very happy using MJ for my Etsy images and was hoping for something to move things along quicker. Thank you for the effort and for moving things forward in POD and AI.

Pretty cool stuff Christian! I am looking forward to working with this. Any chance can we change the color of the extension? The teal is a nice color, but it feels really distracting to me with dark mode turned on.
Aesthetics aren't my priority right now, tbh. I get that it bothers you but it's pretty unimportant in the bigger scheme of things Adding features to the Promptalot site is my priority right now.
