1:22-1:52 It's amazing how you've managed to make the original fun theme into some sort of menacing, marching, rally anthem and following it up with the playing of that violin. Kudos to that. A download would be superb.
I fuckin worship you. All I'm doing is composing this for my band to play, but you are apparently a god who has taken into his/her hands the work of a classic, and turned it into a wonderful song best known as cannon fodder for the soul!
Oh gosh, I remember listening to this stuff of yours years ago, and I had recently just found you again. No wonder I took to your new music like a fish to water. You know your stuff Goose!
Yeah Grant's part of my favorite composer's ever, probably being the number one withtout too much hesitation! This isn't just nostalgia, this is pure creativity, every single level had a music that fitted the level so well while being really awesome as a song itself :D Good ol' times I guess, now video game's all about big corporate stuff :P
So many things I learnt as a kid Respect elder people Brush your teeth before going to bed Take the 4 notes in the engine room first in Rusty Bucket Bay
I honestly like this level. Sure, the tasks within are a royal pain in the arse, but the music is great and the atmosphere is truly unique. I've never seen a level that had anything like the feeling of just being in Rusty Bucket Bay and enjoying the music. But maybe I'm a bit biased because I somehow managed to get out of there with full completion and 8 extra lives on my last playthrough, AKA my second time ever playing the game. (And I only used two glitches! HA!.....**sob**)
+Becca Olson Yeah! Ocarina of Time has a massive glitch-fest! Still one of the best games ever to have been published! Best years of the video game industry in my opinion!
This is the first version of this I've heard (the orchestra versions, rather) and... less reverb??? I'm a little scared to see how much reverb is in the first one. Nevertheless, awesome.
First of all, it's still difficult. Not as difficult as it may have felt originally. But, I attribute that more to the fact that in general more video games exist now. There's more opportunity to practice maneuvering in 3 dimensions than there was back then. Also, the real hell of this level is not that it kills you a couple of times. It's that when you die, your musical note counter resets.
@@skyfire12306 100%ing Banjo Kazooie is a real accomplishment! I'm pretty sure the only reason for the musical notes resetting is that they didn't have the memory left in the console to store data regarding whether you collected each not individually. Which is why in Banjo Tooie they took that problem away by lumping notes together in groups of 5.
@@TheDisarminghinkle Thanks! I'm getting close to 100% completing Banjo-Tooie as well! I still need to do most of Cloud Cuckooland, as well as all the backtracky stuff. Until i got all 900 notes and opened the doors in grunty's tower, i never even knew the double health thing existed!
It is a posibility that.... they great admiration we develope for these industrial levels comes from their slight relation to real-life situations. The fact that there is intended productivity going on inside of Grunty Industries or that Rusty Bucket Bay is a ship that ships goods around the world. It makes you think you are doing more than playing a game but getting a small taste of the world and people in it. The fact that you play as a bear and bird make it fun.
I'm so jealous of everyone that's gotten to play the original game... I haven't been able to find it yet. Only have Tooie. (Which I nearly beat until a friend erased my file... Now I'm stuck at Hailfire Peaks...)
Ehh, I'm not really a fan of emulators... :/ As for getting the actual cart, I've been trying to buy local from small business when buying older games. I'm in no 'particular' rush, so I think I'll stick with that for the time being.
You can get the Xbox 360 version on Xbox 360 or Xbox One just look on the store. This version is exactly the same apart from the higher resolution and omission of a few bugs.
I had this on when doing homework then I looked amd ITS GOOSEWORX my favourite undertale remix person wow no wonder this is so good it was made by a god! (btw I know gooseworx does more than just undertale remixes but there what I mostly listen to so I see gooseworx as the undertale remix person)
+Maik Römer I just collect enough to get me to unlock every note door, including the one holding the picture that doubles my life bar when I complete it.
I actually like Mad Monster Mansion, but if there's one Jiggy I cannot stand trying to get is the one in King Sandybutt's Tomb, which is also where the Witch Switch is!
This level scared the tits out of me as a child, I really don't know why. They were all sort of creepy, or just weird, but this one was just creepy to me, even worse than Mad Monster Mansion.
The only downside is the synthesizers don't do it justice - get an actual orchestra to play this and you have a winner. But the harmonies are beautiful, and I never saw this formatted as a march but this is GREAT.
This may be the stupidest question in music history, but what exactly is too much/less reverb? I've looked up the definition and all and listened to both, is it basically just more or less echo?
Indeed, that's all reverb is, man! Reverb is what gives instruments their proper "Space" in the soundstage. If you think about how an Orchestra or an Instrument on its own sounds in a given space, there is absolutely going to be even the slightest amount of reverb. The only time where there won't be any reverb is when you're out in the middle of nowhere, with no objects for sound to bounce off.
I love the music, but there's a lot of other things to like about the stage. The setting is really fun because it's a big rusty cargo ship, not a stereotypical pirate ship. The level has a fun layout and attention to detail. It has possibly the widest varieties of enemies in the whole game. Personally, I love the fact that you can go almost anywhere in the stage, there's even goodies inside the shipping containers.
Its been years since I played BK but couldn't you use golden feathers to make the engine room really easy? I vaguely remember doing something like that but can't remember for sure.
By the way. I dunno if you even get this, but, if you do, could you send me the file that you made this on? Better clarification would be that you can't do this with a remix program, and you'd need something like finale notepad. I want the exact file (not the MP3) that is this song.
This stage was too OP for my childhood.
Gotem!
1:22-1:52 It's amazing how you've managed to make the original fun theme into some sort of menacing, marching, rally anthem and following it up with the playing of that violin. Kudos to that. A download would be superb.
Every time I keep forgetting you made this, yet I still come back to it randomly.
8 people died in the engine room
and 1 on oily water
pretty surprising only 8 really, shit was the hardest thing ever
***** Meat Boy, dude. *shudders*
***** Well, I never played Banjo n Kazooie, but I know that the engine room wasn't really hard for some. The propellers on the other hand...
I died three times in the engine room today Q.Q At least I still enjoyed the music!
This has to be, by far, the greatest remake I've ever heard. Simply superb.
Epic. This sounds like a soldier march
so this is the old days of Gooseworx
I like it
1:35 - 2:18 is literally perfect. You're still the only other composer that gives me chills when listening to their work. Great job. (:
1:22 is just awesome. Feels so heroic :) especially since the bass takes that melody
I fuckin worship you. All I'm doing is composing this for my band to play, but you are apparently a god who has taken into his/her hands the work of a classic, and turned it into a wonderful song best known as cannon fodder for the soul!
How do you feel now that he's behind Digital Circus, he's transcended past godmode now 😬
Oh gosh, I remember listening to this stuff of yours years ago, and I had recently just found you again. No wonder I took to your new music like a fish to water. You know your stuff Goose!
You managed to orchestrate the song without losing the feel of the tune, awesome job!
Yeah Grant's part of my favorite composer's ever, probably being the number one withtout too much hesitation! 1:22 BEST PART BEST PART
i did a double-take seeing the username. never knew Gooseworx made retro game remixes.
This is such an awesome version of the song! Every bit fits perfectly together and sounds so cool! Great job!
GiveTheBearLotsOfAir
Our one true savior.
Out of all the remixes of Banjo and Kazooie I've seen yours is the best!
So good! I love the contrasting runs in this theme! So awesome how they fit together so nicely! Beautiful work!
I just found your channel today sir and I must say it makes me more happy than I thought possible.
Wowie!
THIS IS PERFECT!!! I've been looking for something like this!
i'm so glad i checked out this channel. ❤
This is one of my favourite pices from the game. Wonderful version. Excellent work as usual.
This is absolutely stunning. Great work!
This is awesome. I like how this song sweeps back and forth.
1:21 to 1;35has always been my favorite part and you pulled it off beautifuly,
I miss that good old times. Great remake, just awesome work!
So many things I learnt as a kid

Take the 4 notes in the engine room first in Rusty Bucket Bay
This song makes the Rusty Bucket sound more like a first-class British frigate, as opposed to a rickety freighter.
The best Banjo Kazooie orchestra cover ever! Nothing will ever outdo this one.

PurelexA Unless they make your horse levitate or turn Lon Lon Ranch purple. Then they're amazing.
Lon Lon ranch... Purple ?! *BLAM* Heresy !

same
I should be enjoying the song but...
The engine room has ruined everything fun to do with this level for me.
Same, it was too difficult when you was only 10 yo.
@@TheDisarminghinkle That is one of the most annoying game mechanics. Even with that, i managed to 100% complete this game today!

Holy smokes this was freaking amazing!!!!
It kinda sounds like something you'd hear in a factory with all these industrial sound effects & whatnot 030
+HTFvideoz It's not far off from the actual placing x'D
Well then the composer did his job as that's exactly what it was heard in. :P A sort of factory on a ship.
To say a download would be nice is merely an understatement. :)
This song has parts of Gruntilda's battle theme and Bubblegloop Swamp music.
I'm so jealous of everyone that's gotten to play the original game... I haven't been able to find it yet. Only have Tooie. (Which I nearly beat until a friend erased my file... Now I'm stuck at Hailfire Peaks...)
Search "Project 64" and go to emu-paradise.. N64 games on your Computer! Or just search Banjo & Kazooie on Ebay and buy it.. :P

Alright then! :P Just wanted to help.
You can get the Xbox 360 version on Xbox 360 or Xbox One just look on the store. This version is exactly the same apart from the higher resolution and omission of a few bugs.
Would help if I had a 360 or higher, but alas, I'm a little behind on the console generations... Thanks though.

This is SO freaking cool haha! Love it. Would be awesome to hear an orchestral version of Click Clock Wood :D
Brilliant work!!
1:22
This is too good to be on youtube.
This game was worth every musical note.
I'm in love with this!
Ahh, GooseWorx has mighty fine taste!
I love it! :D
amazing just amazing
That Level was such a Pain xD
+Maik Römer Said everyone who played this level~
+Alexander LeHane I know but try to catch ALL 100 notes in this Hell xD
+Maik Römer I just collect enough to get me to unlock every note door, including the one holding the picture that doubles my life bar when I complete it.
+Alexander LeHane Ah :) But if I hate a Level for notes... it's the mad Monster Mansion jes a awesome Level but I have 97 notes one time and died -.-
I actually like Mad Monster Mansion, but if there's one Jiggy I cannot stand trying to get is the one in King Sandybutt's Tomb, which is also where the Witch Switch is!

im gonna munch.... IM GONNA CRUNCH
I love video game music all the same. The beat and the instruments. But this is out-right the best music I think I've ever herd
I'm still waiting for the Nintendo 64 Mini Nintendo to play this masterpiece for the first time
I'm gonna munch I'm gonna crunch
Epic song
You sir, need to be put in charge of a real life orchestra. RIGHT THIS INSTANCE!
This too epic I like it
We’re gonna munch! We’re gonna crunch!
Epic doesn't cover it. Goddamn astounding. /applaud

Hey do you have ver plan on putting this on TH-cam music? Your remixes are my favorite and It’d be cool to be able to download them on there.
How much time it takes for you to make this awesome remix ? :D
okay fine
Banjo-X - Rusty Bucket Bay
Definitely.
Not just the midi, but I need to know the name of the program you used, cause finale might not open it right.
Do you know of an open-source music creator that you can write music for pieces of instruments? I believe cakewalk does it but they're expensive.
1:40 - :52 violin time :D!
The only thing i get the impression that people like about this stage is its music
I love the music, but there's a lot of other things to like about the stage. The setting is really fun because it's a big rusty cargo ship, not a stereotypical pirate ship. I love industrial levels in the video games, and a polluted harbor with a cargo ship is very unique when the majority are factories.
Grant Kirkhope is a motherfucking genius
It good
Its been years since I played BK but couldn't you use golden feathers to make the engine room really easy? I vaguely remember doing something like that but can't remember for sure.
+Joe Crandall The issue with the engine room is you can fall off and die so gold feathers don't help much haha
