    Just beautiful I'm going to o finish mine now.. I like the speeding along on the cut out and sewing I wish we could go that fast lol. My ironing board stays up all the time.

      Thank you Jeanne! Haha, I agree! Every time I edit one of these videos I think how I wish the days of sewing actually just took 15 minutes! :)

    You did such a good job. A nice camel color would be so perfect and classic too if you are planning make another one.

    Lauren I had a lot of issues with the pocket. Is there any way you could do a tutorial just on the pocket?

    I also just bought this pattern and am finding that the lining sleeves do not match up to the coat front/back when I went to match the notches and seams! Did you have this same issue?

    Did you pre shrink the wool blend fabric, if so how? And if not how do you plan to maintain it moving forward?

    • @LaurenJohnson
      @LaurenJohnson  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! I didn't pre shrink this particular fabric as I wasn't confident in my abilities to keep it looking nice-- I plan to have this piece dry cleaned going forward, so hopefully that works out. Thanks so much for watching!

    Hi there! Your video is very helpful for me. I have the same pattern purchased, downloaded and printed. There's an issue with the pattern pieces and I'd like to ask you if you face the same problem. I noticed that the front and front facing pieces do not match. Usually facing has the same shape with the main pattern piece, but it's just a small part of it. In this case, facing has a slightly different shape and notches (both front seam and top seam notches) don't match. At first I thought that there might be some kind of problem with the way I printed and assembled pattern pieces. But then, I tried assembling pieces on photoshop and I confirmed that the pieces dont match. Did you have such issues with the pattern?

      Hi there, I'm so glad you found my video helpful! I don't remember having any issues with the pattern fitting together as you described, but I'll double check my pieces and confirm when I'm able. Thank you so much for watching!

    I am new to your channel. Found you by searching for a sew along on this coat. Thank you for doing this. I have a question on this coat. Could you interline with a thinner wool for more warmth? So an outer fabric, a thin wool and a satin lining. Or would you not recommend that?

    • @LaurenJohnson
      @LaurenJohnson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm so glad to have you here Carolyn! I think you could definitely interline this coat! I live in a fairly mild climate, so didn't need a lot of warmth, but I think the design is simple enough that it would be a good one to interline!

      @@LaurenJohnson this video was still really helpful to see. The Oslo instructions were kinda confusing so I liked watching this to make sure I understood.
