    5:01 -- {covers ears} I used to do that as a kid when a bus driver applied the air breaks, especially on these older buses.

    This bus model brings back childhood memories back when I used to ride it to school. Love the sound of those Bluebirds. Also remember Ford. Made a Similar version to this Bus.

    Wow.. I'm impressed you even were able to move it. Sounds like you need a new alternator on it and probably new wiring.

    • @kaiyoshi2243
      @kaiyoshi2243  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HyperActive7 Alternator?? Why do you say that?

    • @jesseterrell8411
      @jesseterrell8411 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think it needs a alternator considering it drove down the street and back and didn’t have any trouble with it staying running. More than likely new wiring and possibly some fuses and it’ll be good to go.

      Jesse Terrell Yeah, I think I’ve narrowed it down to a bad headlight switch. Got power going to it, but nothing coming out. Probably corroded inside the switch.

      I’m curious to why the turn signals didn’t come on but your hazards did when you backed up.

    • @kaiyoshi2243
      @kaiyoshi2243  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesse Terrell Good Question! The 4-ways are on a different circuit than the turn signals. Separate flasher and everything.

    @Devin2277 Do you still have this same bus? If so, I was wondering if you could possibly take some photos or a video of the steering wheel up close in different angles? You don't very often see these type of steering wheels anymore!

    How come the Nissan truck was parked in the weeds? Sitting is hard on vehicles.

    • @kaiyoshi2243
      @kaiyoshi2243  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the weeds grow faster than that pickup truck can drive.
      Nah, we sold it, simply because no one was using it. It was kind of the spare vehicle. But it's so hard to climb in and out of that no one wanted to drive it.

    What kind of carburetor did you put on it?

    • @kaiyoshi2243
      @kaiyoshi2243  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joel Hunt A Holley 650 cfm 4 barrel. Not sure of the model number

    • @seana806
      @seana806 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s probably a similar carburetor to what is used on a Chevy or GMC big block V8. Some could have even had the Rochester Quadra-Jet but probably wasn’t a popular carburetor on a truck and bus engines since they had a tendency to vapor lock, especially when the engine got hot and the Rochester Quadra-Jet was a good carburetor for prestigious cars such as Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac.

    Now that’s something you don’t see anymore. Been sitting 5 years? That old girl sounds like she was never parked besides those flat spots on the tires.
