    Thank you so much for your video. My 8 y.o. Daughter has recently been defiant and disrespectful at times. It’s been pushing me to my limit to where I don’t want to be. Frustrated, angry, about to lose my patience, stressed… but thank you for your advice. Made me feel like there’s hope yet…

    My 5yo has recently has had a horrible attitude. It's started just a few months ago. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what's causing it.

      There could be multiple factors playing into your son's attitude problems. Media he's watching, people he spends time with that are modeling that behavior, friends, wanting more control in his life, etc. If he's given and taught proper skills that are consistently used in the home, the attitude problem should resolve itself.

    I fixed my attitude when I was like 18. On my own, somehow. Im trying to get my son to understand what a good attitude can do, without invalidating his feelings. He never had one temper tantrum as a toddler, and he almost never breaks rules, he's always good. Then sometimes, this attitude.

    Can I bring my son over to you for a few weeks and see if you can sort his attitude problem out? 😂 I’m so worried about him. Even his youth councillor isn’t really sure what to do with him. It’s heartbreaking watching him fall down the rabbit hole and trying everything you can to help but it doesn’t make any difference.

      Wouldn't that be so nice? I do do a couple home visits a year, but those are very draining (mentally for me and financially for you). The next best thing would be to come to one of my Parenting Mastery Trainings (either online or in person) or to take our online TSG Parenting Course with him. If you'd like more information on those things, here are a couple of links that could be helpful:

      I hope this helps!

    Do you think you would have tried to say ok and be ok if your parents had explained that to you? Or do you think you were willing to consider trying it because it came from someone outside your family circle? Thanks!

      Being as stubborn as I was, it definitely helped that it didn't come from my parents. It came from an adult that I respected and willingly listened to, which wasn't my parents at the time.

    I think a child’s attitude problem has to do with horrible parenting

    • @EVH9208
      @EVH9208 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is not the only reason. Perhaps the child is having big problems with his or her peers.
