- Testing the tubes after blowing a fuse on my Mesa Dual Rectifier (non-multiwatt). I think it may be time for new tubes.

A PCB circuit board for what Mesa charges?! They can keep their Quad-Rectified junk! 30 switches, jacks, knobs on the front alone. Over-complicated, over-weight and over-hyped.
Yeah, this is my second Mesa (the first being a mk III) and I'm just not a fan. They are well built and the high gain is fun but it's just not my style and I don't think I'll ever buy another.
I ended up trading this one for a 1967 Fender Bassman. I'm much happier with the Fender.

But people LOVE these things, I guess they like these 100 watt, 100 pound, $2,000 piles of garbage, but I'll take an old Fender or Gibson, Marshall or Vox anytime. Cheers.

You could also have tested for shorts between the tube pins, you can sometimes get shorts between the heater pins (2-7) and grid/plate pins. Just a thought. Nice amp .. looks mint!

I'm going to replace the power tubes with Mesa brand 6L6s. Those 6V6s are a little sketchy. I have a tube tester, I should have run them through it in the video.
Did same thing on a 6L6 in a Peavy Triumph... gotta fix that when I come up to clear out the storage .. we should hook up for a coffee

Great!! My dual has a problem with fx loops, when fx loop is active SOLO and OUTPUT doesn't work properly,sounds very low. :( in bypass all channel master works. I thought was V4 but isn't.
Do you have the version with the multi-watt switches?

@@malaralea9092 I no longer have my Dual Rectifier but I do remember that the Solo and Output knobs are part of the FX Return. They all work together and the Solo and Output controls are defeated in FX Bypass mode.
I would set the Output control to straight up, adjust the FX Send to below clipping your effects then adjust the FX Mix to get the correct balance of the dry to effects signals.
It's a parallel loop and best used with rack effects that have a kill dry setting. Otherwise, it's kind of not very useful and I would suggest the Series FX Loop modification. You change a couple of wires. It's very easy.
What fuse did u buy?
I called Mesa and ordered the correct fuse from them. Everywhere else seemed to be out of stock.
