The music of this game was such a masterpiece. They really get you to feel the pace and urgency of every mission, while also keeping it in the back of your head that it's just a small checkpoint in a long marathon that leads to fighting the reapers. Everything you do up to the end game is light weight, even though it's all life and death ground combat.
There's nothing better, but the moment with this theme playing in the background, while you're gunning down Cerberus left and right, backed up by your squad to save a krogan female with the solution to genophage. That heroic moment.
I was surprised at Cerberus' combat potency during this misson. They had successfully raided a base of one of the most powerful council races, and the Salarians stationed there weren't just grunts, they were highly trained STG soldiers.
I suspect that was a traitors in salarian government or military. I doubt that cerberus troops can invade into salarian space without some help from the inside. Also someone plant the bomb on the base, before cerberus arrived. Some of the salarians doesn't want krogan to be cured, so as the cerberus. And they may decide sabotage their own base for the greater good.
Which is one of the main gripes I had with this game. Cerberus went from a stateless shadow organization to a galactic power in six months. It was nothing short of contrived.
This brings back so many memories! Me, Garrus and Liara fighting Cerberus on the ground while Wrex is flying around kicking ass. The old team back together again
Nothing better than this playing in the background at full blast, bullets whizzing past you, Wrex screaming at you, Cerberus troops closing in and that satisfying sound of a new thermal clip in your gun
The music and the wall paper makes this so perfect... The end of it all, the final fight expanding throughout an entire galaxy against an enormous and mighty foe, this is it...
Couldn't agree more. The whole Genophage quest is not only one of the more compelling storylines in this series, but also the most replayable mission in ME3.
@@gainz4dayz576 Witcher 3 comes to mind. I prefer the Deus Ex games. I'm really big fan of the Splinter Cell games when it comes to sci fi, I think it's because I'm big fan of conspiracy theories and the cyberpunk setting in general. That said I enjoy the Mass Effect games but not enough to replay them more than twice (Renegade and Paragon).
Thats... That is the drums from the last minutes before making your final choice at the end. Foreshadowing? Perhaps. Would have been glorious if they had done this all the way through the game!
@@Omega4Productions It's common knowledge that ME3 production was rushed, the last mission makes it pretty obvious. Notice that apart from the "emotional scenes" ending doesn't really have its own soundtrack, London battle uses mostly reuses music from previous scenes. I guess they needed something dramatic for the final choice scene and just separated these drums here from the rest of the track.
I got that feeling more from watching Palaven and Thessia fall to the reapers, this music reminded more of the plight of the krogans, like Wrex said "Best and Last hope for my people"
Great clip from a great game from great music. The highs/lows are a bit subtle though - don't know if this is a full 256kbps+ or not, but still a great compilation. Thanks for uploading! :D
The entire game really immerses you into a galaxy that is facing extermination. However, I feel that once you are done with the meeting on the Normandy, and you go to Sur'kesh, you REALLY begin to realize that this is it, this is the end. It's like everyone only decides to do what's right when they have no other option. Also, like in the real world, most people never band together unless they face impossible odds. I'm very happy that Bioware decided to make this believable in that aspect.
Oddly enough, your username has corona in it and your comment from 9 years ago depicts pretty much how people have handled the coronavirus pandemic...only doing what's right when they have no other option.
This game had so much continual momentum, with how the levels were created. Had it been a bing, sprawling open-world, it may have slowed down the pace, which wouldn't have been right for the conclusion.
I think the Illusive Man not only brought Shepard back from the dead so Commander could bring him a Collector Base, but also to accupy Reapers when they would finally come, while leaving Cerberus undisturbed towards their final goal - a way of controlling the Reapers. However TIM knows Shepard must be kept on line in case Commander had too many victories - and krogan-turian alliance would be a huge disadvantage towards Reapers, whom he never wished destroyed.
This music on the Salarian level in the demo 2 months ago is the OOOOOONLYYYYYY reason I bought the final release. I also love the MP but it was not worth it as much until I heard and said "wow!".
It's too bad it took a reaper invasion to force a cure for the genophage and a peace between the Geth and the Quarians. It was probably the most memorable moments of the game. Thessia cruely reminds you of the realities of the Reaper war, which is the magic of Bioware. I don't give two fucks about what people say about the ending. It's the best series of this decade
Thanks Ricky I don't know if you made this extended cut or not, but I hated Sur'Kesh because of the short Trumpet section. And if you didn't create it, thanks for posting it
Variety, probably. Also to make Cerberus seem much more potent, given that they mount a pretty successful raid on the homeworld of a well equipped council race.
They attacked the citadel and Sur'kesh but they were not successful either time. They were successful in taking Omega though........ until Shepard showed up
When it will be the 10 or 20 hours version? I must pass my six subjects this September to be an Industrial Engineer and start to work in my Normandy!!!
Iunno. The sounds remind me of LoTSB some as well. Not the same tracks, but I can see where they are coming from when they say it sounds similar to LoTSB tracks.
Stupid people usually rage out at what they don't understand, especially when they don't get what they want from it/them. I'm used to it, they all come around sooner or later. Not concerned either way, because at the end of the day, I'm still right. It is what it is whether you understand that or not.

Liara: "There goes another shadow broker." Garrus: "yeah, and I could swear he was yelling T'Soni." Liara: "Not funny!"
Haha, that was a hilarious moment.
I literally only recruit Garrus and Liara for that mission just to hear that joke.😂
Replace Liara with Shepard at the beginning pls

true
The fight for right within the fight for life.

Plus they looked badass doing it. Those Infantry armors i always wanted to get them.

Can we get Mass effect Cerberus I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Dude fuck yes! I'm playing the legendary edition and I've for the majority of my playtime I've had Garrus and Liara at my side it just feels right
Shepard: "Careful, there goes the next Shadow Broker."
Garrus: "Could've sworn he was involved T'soni the whole time."
Liara: "Not funny."

The drums! Listen to the drums! The same ones as when you are deciding the fate of the galaxy at the end!
I love this story!
Let's see them try to stop a Krogan airdrop.
You are the future of the Krogan race, I'm fighting for that.

This makes the hair on every inch of my body stand up. Shepard's story is probably the best sci fi epic ever written in human history
true that, heart lifting

Thank you for uploading this!! I was looking for an extended one, not that 30 second bit on the soundtrack.
This is legendary... Amazing soundtrack and the best convergence of synths and orchestra I have ever heard.
Garrus and Thane looking badass as ever :)
They always do.
MissMidnightRaven indeed!~
Miranda has a nice ass too don’t forget that
Highly recommend listening to this when you guys are playing the Virmire mission in ME1, it's awesome!!
Every time I listen to this epic musical piece I always hear Shepard in his commanding voice yell, "Light Em Up!"
Great track! Always remember I played the Salarian homeworld first on the Mass Effect 3 demo! Almost a year ago too...
Still one of the best soundtracks in gaming
One of my top favorite levels.

Well, apparently 8 years hasn't been long enough. Keep at it though, I have faith in you.
There goes the next Shadow Broker
I always crank up the surround sound and purposely take my time killing Cerberus goons when this track begins.
