Vanessa Williams & Friends: Christmas in New York aired on December 1, 1996. The musical Christmas special, held in New York's Shubert Theatre, is hosted by singer and actress Vanessa Williams. The program features performances of holiday songs with special guests Babyface, the Boys Choir of Harlem, Savion Glover, Shania Twain, Luther Vandross and Rosie O'Donnell. The program begins with the song, "Do You Hear What I Hear?" performed by Williams, Twain, Vandross, O'Donnell and the Boys Choir of Harlem. Other musical highlights include: "Angels We Have Heard on High," sung by Williams and Twain with the accompaniment of Glover's tap dancing; Williams and Babyface in a duet of "Baby, It's Cold Outside"; "With a Christmas Heart" by Vandross; and Williams performing her song, "Star Bright". The program concludes with "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," performed by Williams, Vandross, and the Boys Choir of Harlem.
