Love camping in the desert. My wife is from Arizona, and before I met her I disliked the desert. I grew up at the beach, so that’s what I knew. I’ve since developed a fond love of the desert. It’s beautiful and there is nothing like it.

You really captured the feel of Essaouira and I share your passion for the town. However, you omitted the best part... The dock where fishermen land their catch every evening. Every sea creature known to man, is there and you'll never buy fresher.
Ouzoud is by far #1 place in Morocco. Amazing landscape, falls and river, minimum of people, cheaper than cities like Marrakesh, Essaouira, Agadir etc. You can also sleep in hammock in a cave next to a cascading river and order beer and hashish.

Watching this while eating a lamb tagine, cooked in a tagine I bought in Jama El f'na market, Marrakech a few years ago. I long to go back to this wonderful country. Stay safe.
It's clearly a bit late to mention this, and you probably knew/been advised already, but it can be unwise to lower tyre pressure when you are traveling on unmade roads with the risk of sharp stones, grass tussocks with an internal spike, and the jagged ends of tree roots or fallen branches. Reducing the pressure in a tyre makes the sidewalls baggy and the lighter construction of the sidewalls is much more prone to puncturing. And sidewall punctures are more difficult to repair - no plugging in the sidewall.
I think i know why you under estimate your kombi so much - after your Brazilian kombi experience. My Brazilian split kombi would have issues on uneven terrain because one of the rear wheels would lift up and loose contact with the ground, often the wheel that the diff was supplying the force to. After i went through the suspension, (replaced it basically) the problem never reared itself again.

Really great episode guys. Did you colour grade some of the footage in the markets and around the flat you had? Really.lovely lighting and colours. You seemed to be using a different lenses set up too? More wide angle for the markets shots etc. Really great quality and great angles too. ALASKA looks like shes having g a blast!!!

That great engineand positraction rear end are the reason you can go up that hill so easy. I keep telling these big 4 WD truckers they would be just a well off if not better off with positraction than the expensive 4W system. LOL

Pretty cool guys I've always been a lover of Volkswagens my first two cars was a 68 bug with a full race 1.8 L turbo charged motor with full race suspension my second one was a 1.6 L lowered bug with the shift kit in it chrome wheels Porsche hubcaps I absolutely love Volkswagens I was wondering since yours has the 2 L flat pancake motor can't you upgrade that up to a 2800 or 2.8 L and not have to worry about power anymore? I'm just saying it was nice to have a bug that could beat a V8 any day my first one could do a wheelie and burnout in 3rd
