Thanks mam. Daily for 44 generations we are having the privilege of playing veena at 5.30 am and night ekanda Sevastopol to Lord Ranganatha in srirangam
Thank you for this demonstration. I was born in the west and wasn’t able to have access to classical Indian music although that is my passion. I appreciate you going through the basics. You have a sweet and gentle personality as well. ✌🏽
I just want to tell you this. Initially, I thought I would skip this video. I watched this completely. Very good presentation, sweet voice, and beautiful video as your smile.
No they are different..Radel veena frets are just steel rods but madhura veena is wax...Whole structure of body is different too. Tonal quality of madhura veena is far better than Radel.
Glad to know..my sincere wishes to u. Pls look in to Playlist lessons for beginners in my channel to get some guidance n join as member to access more videos..:) wish u great learning 👍
Excellent video 🙏 Informative and Interesting 🙏 I have Saraswathi veena gifted to me by my mother almost 37 years back made out of Jackfruit tree made in Tvm. It is my treasure as i could learn a lot under different gurus since then only though I had started learning Veena at somewhat an early age of ten with Goddess Saraswathi Devi's blessings 🙏 I feel blessed to have come across this video really a divine experience hearing each one of your veenas . Owning one Veena itself is a gift of Goddess Saraswathi ..What to speak of with this collection ! You're really blessed !❤️! May Goddess Saraswathi shower her blessings more and more on you and your entire family 🙏
I used to build musical instruments. About your veena with the removable back - The reason why the sound is dead is because the back is supposed to vibrate freely but the bolt totally prevents that. Honestly, if someone wanted to kill the sound intentionally, there is absolutely no better way to do so than to use that bolt. The maker obviously did not do things right. I suggest that you take the veena to an expert builder and have him remove every element of the bolt and the structure that it attaches to and that he create a way of firmly attaching the back. Frankly, it would be good if he were to attach a thin, strong band of bent wood around the inside of one half so that the two would fit very tightly together and secured wtih a few screws. It would require a screwdriver to disassemble and reassemble but it would probably sound far better.
They all have such a unique voice. For me the Veena just before the last has a deep male voice . that seems to resonate well with me but they all are beautiful and unique thank you for sharing these beautiful instruments.
Very informative👍..I'm sure this must b the most awaited video for many veena aspirants.. you are a true example of the quote 'Follow your passion in Life'. Of all, Andhra veena has become a hero(ine) to our eyes may be due to the pattern or the privilege of appearing in many of your popular performances incl 'mamavathu sri' - an all time fav..im sure Madhura veena is the fav choice in your tutorials..
Is there any venna type name "senjam"? pl. let know.. there is one video ciculating with this veena name used in a song and i dont find in the internet so far.
Really aesthetic. Thanks for sharing. You have beautifully created a hybrid of veena and guitar. I am reminded of Pandit Viswa Mohan Bhat who created the Mohana Veena. Nice to know one of your daughters plays the flute. I started on flute at quite a late age. Best Wishes.
Speaking of Veena's I really enjoy the sound of slide guitar . I have a Mohan Venna as well. I didn't realize the many hybrids of Veena's. I've been a student of Sitar for over 8 years. Much to learn and enjoy.
Wow this is an awesome video what a creativity I used to enjoy your performance in QFR so talented yet so grounded your collection of Veenas is out of the world Goddess Saraswathi has blessed you so much keep up the good work

I can understand how much one could love Veena. I learned Veena for just Three years after my Plus two, twenty five years gone, now living in Australia and that love didn't change every time I saw Veena, I think Why not I leave everything and come back and continue my Veena where I left 😞
That's lovely to know mam.. you can learn at any age.. music has no restrictions. ..if u have veena with u pls join my weekend classes.. telegram group link in description. Many like minded veena lovers are there :) 👍
@@veenaranjanimahesh Ma'am, I can understand. Both Vichitra Veena and Chitra Veena are different and are tougher than the standard. Forgive me for my ignorance. But the Andhra Veena you mentioned is the Bobbili Veena. Am I correct?
