    I was obsessed with that movie when it came out. I saw it alone in theaters for the 1st time, and had a long walk home alone in the middle of the night when it got out. I ended up sprinting most of it. Been a big fan of found footage films ever since.

    We totally bought into Blair Witch. My girlfriend at the time and wife now were living in Orlando and working at Universal Studios at the time. You did have to be there for it to make the impact it did! Now we live just a few hours from where ot was filmed. Love the video bro! Love all your video's! Keep em coming!

    I ate up everything to do with BWP back in the day! I loved every bit of "evidence" & lore & when we went to see the film I was SO excited! Our friend was manager at the theatre so we got an authentic movie poster from him and a reel of trailers of the film! So all-in-all the BWP is my all-time favorite horror "found footage documentary" with the greatest back story & incredible acting (they were so authentic!)
    Thanks for sharing this experience with us Adam!
    PS: we live in the woods so there is always a creep factor, especially at night! 💜🤟🙏

    Blair Witch Project was a groundbreaking movie when it comes to “fan made” low budget movies. Broke records I believe, very well done, but WOW! the Blair Witch Project 2 was horrible…. My opinion

    • @writerpatrick
      @writerpatrick 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      It made a quarter billion worldwide on a $60 000 budget. That's around an 8000 percent return.
      It would be near impossible for a low budget film to get into theaters today.

      I disagree, Book of Shadows was an epic film 🎥 none of these were fan made they were all Hollywood to begin with. Now I will say part 3 sucked. I had wrote a script myself that I wish they would’ve used cuz it shows how The Blair witch came to be. ❤ long live this franchise it’s my favorite scary movie cuz it can be very real. Witches are still out there and curses are still alive and active. Stay safe in the woods yall. ❤

    Absolutely awesome vlog. Love the panel session. I used to live in a rural part of San Diego known as Harbison Canyon. Houses are really spread out and back in those days when the sun went down, it was dark and spooky as all get out. A couple of weeks before watching the movie in that house, I was told the house was on Native American burial ground. In those days, that was hard to verify. Watching Blair Witch at 9 pm at night in the house, in a rural area, scared the hell out of me. I didn't sleep for days cause I kept hearing the ghost kids at all hours of the night. Best memory now and I have never done any research on the movie to ruin it. Anytime I go through that area I think of that movie, my fantastic fright and feel like I am there with Heather, Michael, and Josh 💀 🤘🏻

    I remember coming out of the movie theater when it came out with my boyfriend at the time and being very upset cause I couldn’t believe they would show this on the screen (cause I thought it was real and so did he). Now looking back I can’t believe I thought it was real. Now I just laugh at the memory of that night.

    Inflatable Devil sounds like a band name. On a side note. I was probably like 12 or 13 maybe 14 at the time when Blair Witch came out. I was well aware that it was fiction. It's not a movie that is for me. But I also don't hate on it. It was definitely a phenomenon.

    Blair Witch came out when I graduated HS and I remember absolutely hating it. I couldn't understand why people liked it at the time--same with other "found footage" movies like Paranormal Activity, Cloverfield etc later on. Looking back, the whole era of the very early 2000s was really strong with believable urban legends, ghosthunters, "scary" stories, folklore stuff like Bloody Mary etc. I appreciate that era more now. Any and every urban legend was "true" before the internet.

    The Blair witch project is a good scary movie scared the crap out of me when I first saw it thought it was 💯% true. Fun fact Blair witch started the found footage movies because it did so, in fact the director of paranormal activity took inspiration from The Blair witch project.

    I saw Blair Witch in the theater when it came out and never understood what all the hype was about. Didn’t find it scary at all.
    But, I LOVED the concept behind it and became a huge fan of found footage movies after that.

    I enjoyed BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and all the Paranormal Activity movies. Those were funny and had alot of jump scares in it ..hilarious
    My daughters and my best friend and I would go everytime a new episode came out. My best friend was so scared of everything, that it was fun pranking her after the movie☆
