This video brought a tear to my eye. It's happening where I am right now, in a suburb of New York City, and I'm going to have to move. It seems like during covid a lot of people in the city realized they could work from home, so they're coming out here where it's cheaper and they can still take a train into NYC when they want, for fun. It's cheaper for THEM, but they're still willing to pay $1600-2500 for apartments; to THEM that's a good deal, but to us here, we're like, "NO!! That is WAY too much. Not long ago it was half that!". SO many apartment buildings going up everywhere; thousands of new people. It's becoming an expensive city instead of the working class town it was, and too many people think that's a good thing, but it's not for us. This was OUR TOWN and it was FINE. We work our butts off and can't pay those prices, and moving is not as easy as people think. Finding a new job, saving a huge chunk of money to get started somewhere new... it's impossible for many people. :-(
