    Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You seem to be a pioneer of organic turf management. I bet in 50 years this will be mainstream thanks to people like you and we won’t have to use dangerous cancer causing chemicals to make our lawns look pretty

    I was in my flower beds this past weekend (45 degrees 👍🏻)looking at the weeds with long tap roots, wondering to my self... is there a benefit to the tap roots, in this hard clay I have... allowing the tap root to shoot down as far as possible? Instead of pulling these weeds during the winter...

    Great video! I have bare spots in my Bermuda lawn where weeds were last year. I recently purchased cousin of carbonx package. I still have quality fertilizer to use this spring and summer, so I likely won't be using the carbon X fertilizer yet. I'm thinking I need to get some RGS for my bare spots, along with pulling up some plugs on the healthier parts and transplanting them to the bare spots. Thoughts? Alabama Gulf Coast Zone 8B. Am I problem solving this in the right direction?

    • @Lawncology
      @Lawncology  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Lawn Mower if you can start applying RGS in a back back to those spots, the Bermuda will be encouraged to fill in. I’d start now while it’s dormant

    Great video! I'm thinking of trying GreenePunch 18-0-1 this season. Would this be recommended for sandy soil with centipede (Georgia coast)? I like how low the N rates are. That's good for my grass type.

    • @Lawncology
      @Lawncology  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patrick Witherow that will be great. Keep it at the 12-15 ounce rate and you will be golden.

      Patrick Witherow yessir. I have a few Gibson’s, that’s an 80’s era, I just ordered new locking tuners as the originals are starting to weaken. I have and SST, my J-15, a couple takamines (1978 guild lawsuit 12 string and a cedar jumbo from 1995) as well as a couple other beauties laying around. The SG is currently paired with an 80’s Ampeg twin reverbrocket

    I bought that Charles Walters book you suggested. I was hugely irritated to get to chapter 9 where he suggests making "weed peppers" then "homeopathically diluted and potentized" decide which dilution to use by "pendulum dousing" but "without regard for which constellation the moon is in" . Seriously this is woo and majic and you shouldn't be promoting it. I have enjoyed your videos greatly up to now, but seriously are you really promoting homeopathic weed management? If you are, make some of these "weed peppers" and lets see you treat some weeds successfully on video.

    • @Lawncology
      @Lawncology  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +BCH Garden Services weed management through nutrient balance. I couldn’t care less which way people choose to kill weeds as long as you look at underlying issues. As with anything, take what’s good, toss what’s bad, and no one i know are making silly concoctions for weed controls

      @@Lawncology Is anything in the book 'good' , was he just having a bit of a 'moment' in chapter 9? I will be happy to read other books or authors on this -please suggest :-) - but just at the moment, I don't know if I can trust a word written by walters. Everything in the book could be complete woooo! Ok I have a better suggestion, I have a large patch of nettles in a field behind my house - how do I prove to myself that I can impact or change the plant population with nutrients? Is there a better place to have this discussion?

    • @Lawncology
      @Lawncology  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      +BCH Garden Services get a soil test if you need a baseline or, look at what the suggestions could be for a remedy with calcium. The nutrient balance and getting good levels of material whether it’s organic matter redistribution or pH changes will impact certain plants ability to thirhve in any environment. Shoot me an email, answers@lawncology.com I have some pictures from a field I’d like to share with you.
