so i was listening to chonny's charming chaos compendium for the first time and when this came on for the first few seconds i thought "huh welcome to the black parade is an interesting inclusion but im here for it", anyways i love the cover
im listening through you cover album and its just.....i love it. so much. you may not read this but i just want to put it out there for if you do see it. ive been going through a really rough time in my life. frankly, ive always been going through a rough time. especially so now though. i have chronic fatigue, autism, depression, and recently ive had to live on my own for the first time with minimal support. during that time, i was s/ad by a now ex friend of mine, which on top of everything else ive been experiencing has just made me feel even more that im on the precipice of something awful. not insanity necessarily, although i sometimes describe myself as someone insane--insanity as a concept is far more relative than people may think. regardless, i have been feeling like im falling into a deep pit of.... something. nothing. an absence. tally hall specifically is a band ive been listening to since i was around thirteen. theyre music has had a massive impact on me, almost a sort of grounding space in all the confusion and pain. hawaii part ii especially, i listened to that on loop constantly for a month once when i was deep in a mind that felt as if it was breaking. im coming back to it now, and i found your covers and they are just. so. i dont know how to put it. it feels like im listening to hawaii part ii for the first time. when your album is finished and compiled, im already planning to listen to it on loop haha. sorry this may not be clear or have any distinct point, but i just wanted to say that i love what youre creating. while i may not experience it on the level and way you do while making it, it hits a chord for me and feels....safe. theres a specific kind of feeling with instability captured in art that is so comforting in a cold-warm way. i dont quite know the word for it but your music feels that way and your covers are just....yeah. the narrative and story being told through them is amazing, and youve developed such a strong skill and ability with these.... i hope youre doing well!! make sure to get some good rest and take care of yourself B:) id love to possibly do some art or an animation/animatic to one of your songs....not sure what just yet, but if its ok to do so im definitely going to at least do some sketches.
