Just wanted to say thanks for this video and the one about how to add memory. It really helped on my Asus G74SX that is 10 years old. It is like a racehorse now.
I have the same laptop since I bought it in like 2012 from best buy also, and just got an SSD finally, lol. This video will be invaluable since I've been nervous about how to go about installing it. But I can't wait, it looks sooooo fast!!
@Jon its still running great after all these years. This thing has been through a LOT all on the original hardware, including times in FL in summer with no A/C, flights with it loosely thrown into my backpack and TSA hell, I even accidentally dropped it from like 3ft recently with no ill effects or damage. Only recently did I install more memory and do a fresh install of Windows then upgrade to Windows 10 and now hopefully have this ssd installed once I build up the confidence enough to feel like I'm not going to brick it or screw something up lol. Edit: feel like I should also mention I have a serious tab hoarding problem with probably like 700 something tabs open last time I checked 😩 still runs well enough to not want to throw it out the window lol

Do you still have the recovery discs? The lnks are dead and I just aquired a G74sx and I would love to have it back to to it's factory OS..
