on one hand, the developers are expanding the story and making something new, and learning new stuff doing so
on the other hand, this is nothing like the original from the looks of it and the whole appeal for zardys maze for me is that it’s just a simple replayable procedurally generated horror game, no story or set events forcefully given to you
honestly i would’ve preferred just getting more updates to zardys maze to add new enemies and mechanics and structures in the maze, focusing on adding more replayability and freshness to the original game rather than making a completely different thing for a sequel
