  • Rigid body dynamics inside Houdini can get quite complex. In this video we go over and introduction to RBD Fractures and the Bullet Solver in Houdini. This series should be enough to get a basic understanding of the material fracture and bullet solver to get up and running.

Absolutely. Theres a few more videos I have coming that are all focused around the bullet solver with increasing complexity.

Happy to help. I found there's a lot on the old way of doing things with rigid bodies but not much with the new workflow and new nodes

Why am I seeing a wire frame view when I run the bullet solver sim and the base geometry isn’t moving with it

Any way to change specs to make it so that RBD material fracture does slow down personal laptop computer? I worried for my future homework haha In the meantime stay safe God bless

Simulations are generally going to be more taxing because they are simulating complex calculations. To keep it moving the fastest limit the fractures until you are ready for final sim. You can also cache it out so it will play back faster but it will take some time to calculate the sim

MatchSize node in Houdini 19 does not work the way you showed.
