He's one of those people who was simply just born to do comedy. It's so effortless seeming to him that I think it's just his actual, natural personality. I got a pretty funny little story actually. I wasn't there but my neighbors were all hanging out, I live in a very touristy area and a lot of movies are filmed around here but it's not California/Hollywood, and at the time he was filming "The Campaign" with Will Ferrell. Anyway, my neighbor is very open to the tourists and passers-by and her front door is basically always unlocked if not outright open and there's almost always a party going down when she's in town. Anyway, one night none other than Zach Galifianakis shows up, walks in and just wants to kind of see what is going on at this open house gathering. He's talking to my neighbor for like maybe 20-30 minutes or so, and finally he asks "Where is the best bar around here?" because in this same area there is basically nothing but bars and clubs and restaurants. She recommends one to him, he says thanks and goes on his merry way. As he's leaving, my neighbor's daughter is like "Don't you even know who that was?" and she said "No, who is he?" and then her daughter tells her "Dude, that's Zach Galifianakis! He's a pretty famous comedian!" and my neighbor immediately shuffles outside and is like "ZACH! Zach, come back here for a second!" and he does. What a genius at controlling the narrative, as well as being funny as hell. He's just talking about what he wants to; Conan may as well be some guy at a party. Conan's genius is encouraging him.
Conan can always joust with the best comedians, and he does it very well. He always can give them time to tell a story, and has no problem being the straight man. Everything about this was hilarious. Conan always will be my favorite.
Zach came by house one time because he heard there was a party and he was curious to check it out. Comin up on 3 months now and its the best thing ive done for myself. Ive been locked up numerous times, got a DUI, have barfed slipped in my own barf and covered my back in it and rubbed it off on a tree while families watched in horror, was a douchebag of a boyfriend, lost my partner whom i loved and was haunted by shame. What helped me the most was ratting on myself to my friends and family how deadly serious my problem was. If youre struggling don't be afraid to reach out for help people, it could save your life. It was only a matter of time before I plowed my car and killed someone. Its only been 3 months but i feel more at peace. I highly reccommend reading This Naked Mind by Annie Grace and attending recovery meetings. It doesn't have to be 12 step but its what works for me. Theres also SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery and other groups that might be a better fit for you.
Alcohol was involved with every bad and poor decision I have ever made. It was behind every bad event that has ever happened to me as well. That is quite the feat.

I haven't called upon the Holy Spirit this time because I'm more addicted than ever. Please pray for me! Sandy C.

He's not the bestest but is more greater than many much
He’s funny. But don’t get it twisted. Dave Chappelle is the funniest and most talented comedian to ever walk the earth
He's your master....really?!
I thought he was gonna say, "one day me and my boys went to Vegas for the weekend and...." Haha
Damn, I was that guy in a "Who Farted?" T-Shirt. Never thought I'd make it on Conan #blessed
Applause for Zach, and bravo for sharing honestly!
Hello 👋🏻
Zach was one of Conan's funnier podcast guests. He talks about seeing a live performance from the guy who whistled The Andy Griffith Show theme song.
He worries me, he gives me deep robin williams vibes
Once you mentioned it I realized he’s facial expression and eye movement is just like him.
No offense but he doesn't even in the slightest way remind me of Robin
Williams. Williams was obviously compulsive and probably Bipolar. They
both seem like decent, very funny guys, but that's it to me.

@@juwelzbluntz yikes. 😬😂
@@juwelzbluntz it’s the internet you dork lol once you post something anyone can reply
Love this guy, he's so authentic, he hates celebrity - and to be part of.
Conan: "6 foot 6, so about normal height."
Y'know what I just realized, Zack has the same mannerisms of Gene Wilder during talk show interviews in that when he tells a joke, he'll smile and peer off to the side almost as if to see if people are laughing along with him at his joke. lol
Go look up a Gene Wilder interview, he does it too. I wonder if it's natural to Zack or if it's intentional.
What a genius at controlling the narrative, as well as being funny as hell. He's just talking about what he wants to; Conan may as well be some guy at a party. Conan's genius is encouraging him.
freak
@@thereal_OGLoc LMAO!
Ohhh put a fcucking cork in it will ya buddy!
Cool guy. Never heard of him but I'll research more. Funny!!
Watching Die Hard 2. His Ferns with Willis was classic. Bruce looked like he was going to kill him any second.
Man, this guy is just hilarious - just naturally funny!
I'd literally watched all of Conan's videos on TH-cam and this appeared on my screen it was like finding water in a desert. Thanks Team Coco
I love Zach and all the things he does. I feel a lot of comedic actors today were influenced by him.
I would’ve done his jail time for him to see the headline:
Two New York men beat unconscious by comedian Zach Galifianakis
they were way bigger than him and he was outnumbered, you think he didn't wanna beat em up?
he is sober and still hilarious. i love to see it
Conan can always joust with the best comedians, and he does it very well. He always can give them time to tell a story, and has no problem being the straight man. Everything about this was hilarious. Conan always will be my favorite.
I saw him in New York and said hello and I was a fan, he was very polite.
i gues conan wanted people to chill out on the drinking new years eve???
Or maybe Zach is gonna be on the show
@@StephenKershaw1 😂
Stephen Kershaw Your boyfriend tell you this?
@@StephenKershaw1 nah drinking is fun
The guy's timing is so on point! What a great comedian!
I quit drinking a month ago and no weight loss.
4 months no weightloss either
@@Mrs.Rockies drink up! 🍻

Hoof Hearted. Best race horse name ever.
He's one of the the Coolest actor in Hollywood!🔥
He knows how to play the part.
@@davemitchell6281 He Live the Character,.
This dude is smart and genuine
Zach came by house one time because he heard there was a party and he was curious to check it out. All my guests were starstruck but I kept telling them to leave him alone, I knew he just wanted to hear some music. He stayed until too many people recognized him and then he left. We never talked but it was totally rad.
@Tyler Harris It was right after the first Hangover movie dropped
One of the most funniest interviews ever love it he is hilarious
I just love how he keeps us entertained!
He made me laugh so many times within a few minutes. Not many do that for me
I’m great at tickling if you’re looking for someone else to make you laugh
Boa noite, esse cara é bom demais no humor. Adorei o vídeo.
Do you know Bradley Cooper is sober too? Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck too! These are good examples to quit alcohol.
you know the joke's funny when you hear Andy's laugh in the backround
Ethan Tremble’s impersonation of Zach Galifianakis is spot on
Even more important to lay off drinking this New Year’s Eve because this year you REALLY don’t want someone spitting in your face lol
Why ?
Anything that comes out of his mouth is funny, without effort! This guy is unintentionally hilarious.
I'm giving it up today! First day is always the worst!
Theres also SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery and other groups that might be a better fit for you.
do u have a year now
I don’t care what people say, Zach galifinakis is still my favorite comedian!
Nothing wrong with that. Live at the purple onion is brilliant.
Why shouldn't he be?
When he said there was about 20 things I felt that. 20 that you remember and probably 100 that you don't.
I absolutely love this guys humor. If I could spend a day with any celebrity, it would be ZG
He really had pain but he told A light story sobriety is no joke and people make jokes about it . God for you Zach
Man, he is so cool when his real self comes out.
Most people know him as a movie star and if so do yourself a favor and watch his standup. He is one of the best with his own style and flow.
Alcohol was involved with every bad and poor decision I have ever made. It was behind every bad event that has ever happened to me as well. That is quite the feat.
5 years ago I stopped smoking, I was diagnosed with COPD. I still had a very hard time. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to take away my desire to smoke. He did! A couple of months later I was hospitalized with peripheral neuropathy, due to my drinking. After that I quit drinking for three years, now for the last two years I may be facing cirrhosis of the liver or worse. I haven't called upon the Holy Spirit this time because I'm more addicted than ever. Please pray for me! Sandy C.
You will get through this. Life is a journey. Look to God and pray for recovery and losing that craving. You will be in my prayers tonight Sandy. God bless.
Happy New Years Eve Everyone Stay Safe An God Bless 🙏
Happy New Year Eve to you as well
May the king of God's Zeus and his son Hercules complete the 12 trials in your honor
The Crow is my spirit bird! Goofy but true. I feed a family peanuts everyday. . .raw, in the shell (not in the raw though). Ok, TMI.
That's excellent to hear Zach. Love all your movies.
episode 414 "IMDbCooper" the other guest was Jim Gaffigan and music from Beware of Darkness. Zach was promoting The Hangover Part III. Not sure what Jim was promoting.
About a month ago, I face planted 3 times on the way home and redecorated the bathroom. Ive had a single drink since, and I wont bring it into the house anymore. My poor wife took care of me that night, so I owe it to her to quit
I’m having the opposite problem my families coming and they try to get me to take a shot and almost threw up everywhere
Ive had so many drunken public embarrassments in my younger years but i still drink just not as much (because I fall asleep) and I don't go completely nuts anymore. But I can still fall down and scrape the heck out of myself.
Hollywood: this is a cute story of redemption
The Real World: if you have seen our son, we miss him, please bring him home to us safely
I was in Berlin waiting for the ubahn to up and go to the next station when I got spat on by one of the gang members from the platform into the train who basically wanted me to react so him and his 7 pals could go to town on me. I resisted because I like not having a broken nose. But I felt one of the lowest feeling ever, bit like a mat someone wipes their shoes on. Ma man Zack did it with a smile and turned it into a positive. Respect bra.
Ditto, quitting alch saved my life (5 years). .. So many other remedies anyways lol
I watched this video because I knew I had the beginnings of a drinking problem. I thought it was touching, but that day I went on my biggest drinking binge and yeah... usually it's one incident that tells you you need to stop. And yeah, for me "it was about twenty things".
The irony of a rich actor slapping a rich guys car because he was annoyed at him.
Rich actor = rich guy in a car are not always true
Here having a beer while I’m watching this
I'm guessing the two guys actually recognized him which is why he *only* got spat on in a non sexual way.
1:26 he should have added: "I've got one at home!" That pause is about him thinking about saying that.
