Hoover U1016 Dirtsearcher Junior Vacuum Cleaner From 1976 Unboxing & First Look

Day four of Hoover week sees me unbox a lovely Hoover Dirtsearcher in the rarer brown colour scheme. I initially thought this was an exclusive model, but it seems this cleaner was part of the regular line up and sold along side the U1012 standard Junior.
I struck lucky with this beautiful example as it's in excellent condition and came with a load of bonus surprise items.

They are definitely my favorite vintage model of vacuum. I have three out of the 4 American juniors and they are three of my favorite cleaners, but what I wouldn’t give to have had all the variety here that they had in the UK.

Just run a pencil over the zip and around the fastener and that can work to loosen it and make it run smoother.

Iv bought a really old vacuum cleaner and same thing happened with me. I had plenty of spare part for hoover models, kirby's and other old machines

if you can get hydrogen peroxide, stick the headlight cover in there and heat it to about 55 degrees and hold it there for about an hour, there is a chance that it won't work because it's clear the yellowing may be more than skin deep, good luck.

I have a Hoover convertible the model is u4411 and the serial number is 00038913 Can you please tell me what year it's from I've been doing a lot of research and I can't figure out what year it is from?

It’s an American machine so I can’t date it but I believe it will be from the mid to late 80s. Just do a Google search and you’ll find more information.
