Kufstein Fortress, Beautiful Landmark in Tyrol, Austria.

The fortress is mentioned for the first time in a document from 1205, where it is called Castrum Caofstein. At the time it was a possession of the Bavarian Duke Ludwig and the bishop of Regensburg.
It is located on the Citadel Hill, a 90 m high rock directly on the Inn, above the town of Kufstein, and can be reached on foot or with the Kaiser Maximilian Panorama Funicular.
