Johnny Carson steels David Letterman's red pickup truck from in front of Dave's Malibu home as a practical joke. Clips from this were shown on Dave's Johnny Carson Tribute Show. This is the full version as first televised on April 18, 1986.

That's the truck Dave moved in from Indianapolis to LA and lived in while he was trying to make it in stand up. It's one of his most prized possessions.

I remember this show as if it was yesterday, it was hilarious and so whas the next show dave was on the show and dave sued Johnny Carson for $24.95 in front of Judge wapner for the headlight that was broken when Carson stole the truck.

what is missing was that Dave took judge wapner(sp) peoples court, to sue Johnny,and the judgment was televised....it was some real funny TV moments there,was a hoot and a half...LOL
