New Camera?? Looks different. It's always important to keep up on the vehicle maintenance. I wouldn't have 254,300 miles on Old Blue without it! That would be what...in the area of 409,256..I think I'll make a video when Old Blue reaches half a Million Kilometers! I know Zed gets the same intensive care my Friend! Plus, no in cabin air filter to muck with in him. Only 40,389 miles on the Kia...barely broken in! Cheers! Sean~

Good video Inspector Gadget. You almost need to be a gymnest to change that cabin filter. Of course the Koreans are smaller people so they fit better in the car when doing that change out lol.
Some of these cabin air filters are a pain to replace, an on others they are fairly easy. On my Honda 2012 CR-V, I just have to squeeze the sides in of the glove box and release the drawer cable and the inside of the box drops down out of the way with the filter directly behind. The dealer wants $50 to $75 to change the cabin filter.
when I do things like that when screws are hard to get to, I sometimes leave out some of the screws, it's real hard for me to get down under the dash anymore. in the past I have installed remote start on two of my cars but not anymore.
Blower motor resistors (fan speed controls) are usually down there and even less accessible. The kids in the neighborhood usually learn a few new words when I have to do one of those! You almost have to stand on your head to get them in and out. Especially fun on a hot, humid day.
Bruce, is the entire glove box one piece? I couldn't tell from the video but does the "upper box" separate from the rest. The box where the first screw went in on re-installation.
I have arthritis in my neck and back and this is the only car (The Soul) that I can get in and out of without banging my head. When we bought it i went on a test sit LOL Yes a test sit and I sat in every car- make at the time. This was the only one that was tall enough for me (I am a short guy) so I didn't have to twist to get in and out. Wow that took some explaining . Remember now this was 10 years ago. There are other models out there now. It is a great car. We plan on driving it a lot more.

Hey Bruce, Check out rockauto.com for auto parts. Brand name parts for TINY money. I replaced front struts on my 2013 Explorer, ordered Fords brand, Motorcraft, the PAIR of shocks, delivered to my door was still cheaper than ONE from the dealer.

Bruce Pender I never pick the lowest shipping selection ever. Always pick the "second" option or higher depending on the dollar. Normally when I order I order on a Sunday evening and I usually see them by Friday or at the latest the Monday next. (1 week). On topic...what kind of fuel mileage are you guys getting in that Kia? I've always liked the look of those Souls.
I don't know!!!! Can you believe that? It is a lot better now that when it was brand new. You know we just drive it. If we don't notice it must be pretty good. 1.6L engine.

Thanks Dave. Remember the dowels for the Honda Carb. Well now I have some M6 long bolts I cut off the heads on to slide the carb on. Thanks again.

Every car has is challenges on part replacement eh!!! On some cars the engine has to be raised to changed the plugs. This wasn't to bad.

For the air filter on the engine?? That is just inside the engine area by the battery.

Crazy that is just a little filter and hard to change.
Those cabin air filters can get pretty nasty. Replaced one last fall that had an oak tree growing out of it (almost)!
