    This is great... did you ever made a tutorial...? my question is.. how you got it to 360 while animating? how many monoscopic render views you made? or how did you made it..??
    cheers!!

    Brilliant! What render times are we looking at here? I've been meaning to make something similar, but wondering how long a scene like this might take to render out, keeping in mind the larger than normal resolution and amped up quality.

      Hey, I think the render time was around 8hrs.

    Looking great :). Did you run into any screen space related issues with the spherical pano capture?

    • @jacobbarrow1865

      I had some issues with things like bloom, light shafts, lens flares and the like, but I just toned them back or turned them off;-)

      Cool! Mind if I ask what GPU you had at hand? And at what resolution this was rendered out?

      Sure, I have a GTX 980 and the fly-through was captured at 4096x2048 using a scene capture cube.

    Hi Jacob,
    Can you share with us how did you render the 360 video out of the engine ?
    Which method / plugin did you use ?

    • @jacobbarrow1865
      @jacobbarrow1865  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, this was done using the Scene Capture Cube method with the material applied to a card and captured with a camera aligned to it, then exported using the standard video export tool. However, I find the 360 Stereoscopic Plugin produces better results and now use that as part of our pipeline. I hope this helps.

      Hi jacob, we too finally used the plugin. But which tool did you use for encoding the video ? Our output files always crash a player running on an i3. ( which is the target CPU ). Even the youtube video stalls and hangs when played on i3 CPU. Pointers on how to encode the video so that it runs on all PCs without losing quality will be really helpful.

      We export as a PNG sequence from UE4, then use Adobe After Effects Media Encoder to export a 4K H264 video file, keeping the bit rate below 60mbs for platforms such as You Tube. 4K video is pretty processor intensive and you are really limiting your self with a low-end i3 CPU.

      There is a rapidly growing market for VR Architecture visualization. Our studio Shadow Space has completed a variety of projects and we currently have some exciting projects in the pipeline. We see this as being the industry standard for visualization.
