- The Turbo E30 is back! For how long? Who knows, what matters is it's back. This M20 has been disassembled and put back together with a 2.7L block from a 325e and the head from a 325i. Additionally we've spiced things up using a schrick 284 cam and a maxpeedingrod gt3582 turbo! This is the second iteration of our turbo e30 powerplant, after the first build blew its headgasket, and the second had a misinstalled cut-ring headgasket. If that shifter fix doesn't work out, try buying some shims from HF or something, find the right size, cut it, and wrap it around the selector rod dowel. Should take up the slop, just be careful and don't force a size that's two big in there or it will probably be hard to shift

E30 m20 rule
Dude love the sound on that stroker. Currently have an 89 is m20 in my garage waiting for the head back from machine shop. What head gasket would you go with for an ebay turbo kit plus arps? Cometic mls or cheapo elring. All are on backorder so i have time to decide :(
They do sound great, I would run an elring. The MLS stuff is too finicky. You saw how I "machined" this head and block threw an elring at it with arps and it handles 20psi no problem.
Don't forget to copper spray the head gasket
would it be better to turbo a super eta or a stroker?
I don't think it really matters, depending on the route you go with a stroker, your compression will be between 8.5:1(super eta) & 8.8:1(b27 with i pistons). Both are great for turbo.
