This game looks absolutely phenomenol. Everything is really fleshed out and the theme is on point.
The Dracorex might have combo'd nicely with the Triceratops - if used on your own workers, freeing up a spot you've already visited and gaining the extra resources. Great play through!

Now this I like - this feels like a more affordable version of Dinosaur Island (both in terms of money, playing time and tabletop real estate). Not that I won't be playing Dinosaur Island at cons of course :P
Thanks, enjoyed the play-through! Seems like quite a fun little game. Reminds me of 'Agricola - All Creatures Big and Small' (but for more players) and 'Dungeon Petz' (but much simpler).
Great playthrough. I got my pledge in. Support Gamlyn games. I fully agree that a game shouldnt need to be played on the floor cause its so big. I am looking at you lords of waterdeep!
In the release version, when you roll a wound, the rancher AND the dinosaur you wrangled will both go into the medical bay. In this video, you put these dinosaurs directly into the holding area, which mostly will not matter, except for the one action location that lets you retrieve from holding area (and the Pterodactyl).
Huh, good to know. With prototypes rules can sometimes change slightly between recording and the final release.

Klingon correction on 1:01:08 for Blue forgetting to feed their Dilophosaurus has a misspelled "meat". It says "meet".

Watching this again cause I am so hyped for this game. I noticed at 9:00 that it looks like you got an extra cube. If it cost 1 to get 2 cubes then I believe the total should be 2 not 3????
Looking back at it, I think I did it right. They spent one supply which brought them from 2 to 1, and then gained 2 supply which brought them up to 3.
"arraigning" your ranch isn't really the same as "arranging" your ranch! 33:36 is an example of when you put a note on when to skip to start arranging the ranch!
Dang, sometimes my fingers don't type in order and it's too bad I missed that misspelling.
It appears you may have overlooked the Dilopsaourus (spitter) in the last round for blue. If the dinosaur in the incubator counts, they actually have 6 carnivores not 5 which would give you 2 less points. Also, I don't think the spitter was fed, but you could have fed the omnivore the leaf instead so that did not have any impact on the game.

The game is very cool, the math mistakes, not so much. XD
I like the balance of having fewer dinosaurs gives you less resources. The little dinos are plastic, yeah? They seem too spindly for woodcuts.
In this prototype the dinosaurs are 3D printed plastic I believe.
Can I ask why Phase 5: Feed Dinosaurs has a "Breakout Die" but you seemingly didn't roll this die during this game? Did they change the rules in that herbivores just break a barrier and carnivores eat a herbivore instead of having to roll this die?
Yes this is a prototype and the breakout die was removed at some point after this was printed and before the kickstarter.
at 24:08 you say you need to feed 7 plants and you had 7 plants, but you put the marker to 1 instead of 0
Yep, if you turn the Klingon subtitles on then you should be able to see a correction about this already there. Thanks :)

Did I miss something or shouldn't the Gallimimus escape at 10:14?
Unique dinosaurs don't need to be in enclosures and that's why it doesn't escape.

I'm surprised to say that this looks like the best dinosaur game, even though a few of them has come out lately. I have a couple of gripes though:
Getting injured when you catch dinosaurs is so toothless, thematically that should matter, but in the game it's like whatever.
And some of the effects of the special dinosaurs seems unrelated to it, just random, that lessens the theme for me.
Not for me in the end I think.
