Was against becoming a Glock fanboy and go with what's popular. I only brought Smith and Wessons. A buddy sold me a Glock 22 Gen 5 a month ago. Since then, I've brought a 21 Gen 5 and a G45. Glock deserves the hype.

I love how I a saturated market of "new and exciting" Glock just keeps pumping out pistols with the same design just refined. Im blown away with all the folks asking for a "all new" Glock. Why?? This design works so well and is so universal, and still competitive with anything else out today.
It's pretty much the ultimate straight forward self defense tool. It's reliable, and cross compatible in many ways through out other models, and ease of access to parts ? Let's not forget to mention how much of a common use gun it has become. It's virtually impossible to defeat Glock.
I remember in the late ‘80s and early ’90s how everyone called Glocks toys and breakable. Now they all have a polymer strike-fired pistol. No need to make big changes to a system that works. It's been on my hip since I was issued one in 1993 and has rarely failed at the range. The best part is I have confidence in knowing my pistol is a reliable tool.

We added an extra finger groove and call it the glock delux. Totally different. And this glock has a stronger recoil spring and we call this the "their's stupid enough to buy it" lol ..
I'm am a self admitted Glock fan boy. Why? Because no other gun company has extended itself to its customer base the way Glock has. They allow civilians to take both of their Armorers courses. They created a Glock shooting league so that customers have an outlet to use their products. They created various Glock Operator shooting courses given by instructors across the country which teach the users to be better shooters. They even offer a free service to all customers who go to the headquarters in Smyrna Georgia whereby your Glock is serviced and upgraded with any necessary parts to keep it in working order. Its also cleaned as a courtesy while its in their hands. NO OTHER COMPANY, NOT ONE, has done ANY of this for their civilian customers. Civilian being the key word. Too often Police and Military are the sole focus of gun companies with these sorts of things. They forget that, by the numbers, there are FAR more civilians carrying arms than government employees. Or, maybe its that they just dont care. Either way, its not in their business models. It damn sure is in Glocks. Yup, Glock Fan boy and proud of it!!

The Glock 47 is not new, its just new to the civilian shooter market. All Glock models follow the same basic format, shape & internal workings and just differ in size, caliber & capacity. IMO we need a new high capacity micro or sub-compact 9mm from Glock . There is nothing wrong with the Glock 26 Gen 5 sub-compact ( which I carry ) but its time for a smaller & thinner version of the 26 factory fitted with Tritium night sights and coming with 3 mags - 1X 10Rd, 1X 12Rd & 1X 15Rd in the box (in the fashion of the new S&W Equalizer) and machined to accept a variety of red dot devices

Glock pistols are known for their reliability even under adverse weather & geographic conditions and so any new design must have a fair number of the proven Glock working parts internally even if externally it looks different
Glock definitely need something to compete with the M&P Shield plus and p365 market. The g26 and g43 just aren't in the same league as a lot of these newer guns.
They need to make a skinny 26 with metal magazines. Then you can make the grip longer with extended magazines and run 12 or 15rds. It would beat the 43 x in sales.

Sight radius dosent matter if a use a dot but i still shoot irons as well . This would work well for under cover narcotics divisions and jusr officer like myself and the guus i work with off duty. I have 4 or 4 19s luing around so yeah experiemce shooters like this setup i currently have 2 pdps this way(5 inch compact) I get it this isnt your cup of tea but it could be others no big deal

A Heavier bullet (.40cal) at about the same velocity as the heaviest 9mm and the .40 will always produce more energy. Would you rather punch your attacker with the strength of a 12 year old boxer or a 22 year old boxer? …next question?
A lot of people are upset but for people like me who only own 3 glocks (42,26,19) the 47 makes complete sense as I’ll just pair it with my 19 and have 4 different glocks

Why not just make the 19 L… That’s what everybody seems to want anyway. That’s what I do with my Sigg P3 20 full-size slide on a compact frame.
Is the performance trigger closer to that of the Sig P365? If so I’m wary of that working.
