Thanks for sharing your TF journey with us. With so few DM role models for men growing up we're in a crisis of masculine identity. Messaging in the west is that it's about being a provider, or about money and muscles, and most guys I know don't value personal growth. So many of our fathers are either absent or (like you mentioned Hannah) stern and out of touch w/ feelings. It's time men step it up and get into therapy, coaching, or become more active in retreats or men's groups. I personally don't know any men who journal or speak about their feelings. This is happy and sad at the same time. My DM is a narcissist, a manipulator, a gaslighter whose world revolves around him only...even the people he is choosing to keep in his life are there to satisfy his selfish desires. He recognizes that I am very different from all the females he ever came across in this lifetime, but still he has always chosen everyone else but me. I am done with these mind games. I do not want this DM anymore. I am tired of making one sided ceaseless efforts to keep him in my life and it sucks! But I am happy for you both 💗
@NJay-jf3mf I already recognized my weak areas and I am working on it after completely boycotting him and I feel so much better.. Self-love was what I was lacking and made him the centre of my life- the biggest blunder I ever made but not anymore. Ironically, I still feel a pull even when I am busy working on myself.. I hate it but this is beyond me.
