@juliasanchez9055 While there are PLENTY of things I wish I could change in America, the reason why the USA often comes with a lightning rod is because of our achievements/exploits, which in MANY areas are unparalleled--for example, go look at any year of a World Almanac, go to the pages of inventions, and you'll be blown away at seemingly 3 out of 4 inventions over history are by Americans--so that frankly brings envy, jealousy, resentment, etc., and then comes a LOT of negative opinion towards America. But, despite all of America's imperfections, there's something about being an American that carries with it a tremendous sense of pride :)
Julie, I think that the main reason that some people hate Americans is because of JEALOUSY! We live in the Greatest Country in the World, primarily because of WHAT WE BELIEVE IN! There are many, many awesome countries to live in but, it’s what Americans believe in and are willing to back it up that truly sets us apart from everyone else!

Most likely they landed a few miles from where Jessica was being held. Then they quietly moved on foot using night vision equipment until they got there. No seals were injured during the gun battle.
If this doesn’t pull on the heart strings……I was teary eyed for half of this video. Good video! God Bless the Seals and all branches of our national defense and for a President who thought the two of them were important and that every life matters! That speaks bounds.
As a retired SAS commando captain of 27 years, 11 years spent in Middle East we went on many missions and knew exactly where all our team guys were. The military intelligence of USA and UK is so advanced between our two countries we can locate any missing soldier and are aware of the location of any MIA it's the political climate that prevents bringing these soldiers home, they know every location of every missing soldier period.
I was in the U.S. Air Force in England. I am very proud to have worked with my RAF counterparts. The professional mutual respect and friendship was something I will never forget.
The mission commander and lead jumper of seal team 6, for that mission, wrote a great book detailing her rescue. It is called MOB 6. Great book, I’m not a reader, so bought the audiobook and listened to it straight through. It actually helped me big time because I usually listen to Audiobooks when I do my daily 3 miles. It was so good that I ended up doing a 9 mile run that day because I wanted to keep listening. I’m a retired US Marine infantryman and I love hearing war stories from people in other branches of the military. That said, this is the best book written yet. Strongly recommend MOB 6
Seals and Army Delta force are some bad ass men!! 2 of the best, hands down! GOD BLESS THEM ALL AND FAMILIES. FOR ALL OUR MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.
My best guess (given my experience in the military) the Seals in all likelihood jumped in w/ chutes and had several Blackhawk helos on standby not too far off just waiting for the exfil order to come in, fly out to the designated LZ, and pick them up.
The seal team got there via a HALO jump. High Altitude/Low Opening parachute drop from an altitude of 30,000 to 40,000 feet, depending on conditions. Opening their parachutes at a height of 800 feet, or less.
I've literally been around the world, and found your latter comments to be so insightful. The one thing I've taken away from my travels is the blessing of law and order, which is much more the exception than the rule around the world. If you're blessed to live in a country that has a independent judiciary and law enforcement that is largely free from corruption, then count your blessings, and show your gratitude to those who are dedicated to law and order. I'm a 30-year veteran of the US military, and I was grateful to serve to secures our freedoms, but it's law enforcement that enables us to enjoy our freedoms. God bless all of our first responders.
I live in Boston mass..Ive been sick and reading alot..Our Navy Seals are the best in the world..Seals were first to be dropped in Iraq in war zone..Im so proud to be an American!!
There is a good documentary on that entire operation. The SEALS parachuted in from 24,000ft several miles away....then went the rest of the way on foot. 24 SEALS, of which two were snipers who set up as the others slowly descended on the camp. As soon as the gun fire started, the snipers began to take out targets from a distance. You should see the training documentary of how the SEALS become SEALS. The training is just ridiculously difficult.
A big thank you to our US military who don’t get enough praise for all they do to protect us as citizens. 🇺🇸 We are grateful! I had never heard about this woman’s tragedy. God does answer prayers.
The Seals all survived. We don't have exact details but they would have dropped in there - some of the highest trained military in the world with night optics and body armor and basically just mowed down essentially a random gang.
In that open terrain and the distance you'd have to stand off to prevent hearing helicopters, it's almost assured they did a HALO (High Altitude, Low Opening) free-fall from a fixed wing aircraft. That why they waited until zero moon phase. Exit the aircraft at any altitude, on oxygen, so that it just seems like a civilian airliner or possibly be too high to be heard. Free-fall down to an opening altitude for the canopy, then the ram-air parachutes can make a long distance themselves at up to 25-35 mph in zero wind with a glide ratio of up to 5:1, so you don't get out right over the top of them. Open well away, because that does make a noise, then group up and navigate to the landing point. Or even do a HAHO (High Altitude, High Opening) deploying the 'chute as soon as you exit. Allows a longer standoff distance from them and you fly the ram-air parachutes to a relatively close-by landing spot. Very quiet and can get close enough to quickly get to the site to obtain the Precious Cargo (her and Paul), "clean" the site (all 9 bad guys) and then exfil by helicopters standing by nearby. A mission-type practiced quite often by Special Ops units.
This made me proud and gave me chills. The Danish man supposedly said the only reason he's alive is because she was an American. There was another story from an American man that was kidnapped and they came and rescued him. I wish I could hear that story again. It was in an article, wished I could remember his name. There's no way I could tell this story without sobbing of this had been me.
Idk the guy's name either; That story sounds really familiar. It's interesting that in some of these stories of rescue, whether military or natural disaster,😅😅 the person recalls seeing a flag patch on a stranger and in that moment knew that they were going to be okay. If I saw an ally's flag while I'm in distress, it would give me that burst of hope and motivation needed to get to safety.
Many years of my career were here at Ft Bragg NC. I supported and worked with many Special Ops people from the many different units and also foreign men . Some of the things I know they have done and some stories I heard were unreal. They are the baddest of the bad and the word NO is not in their vocabulary. Stepping off the ramp wearing oxygen in the dark is like nothing you can imagine. They may have HALO'd (High altitude low opening) or HAHO'd (High altitude high opening) with modern parachutes you can open high and fly many miles. It's been over 30 years and I can just imagine some of the equipment they have now. A salute to all from an old soldier.
This kind of thing is what America is about. We care about our people. These Seal Teams are true heros. They do what they do without expecting recognition. Recognition will put them in danger so doing the job would become impossible. If you were to try to thank them they would tell no problem, that's what we are for.
The seals did a HALO (High altitude Low opening) jump. they jump from so hi up no one would see the plane, or hear it, they open very close to the ground. Some of the rustling might have been the parachutes being rolled up. Also, no seals were killed or even injured in the rescue.
SEAL team 6 is the best special forces team in the world HANDS DOWN. No Navy SEAL was hurt or wounded during thie rescue mission. Truth of the matter is more US Navy SEALs are wounded and hurt in training then they are in actual combat. It's a testament of how damn good they really are.
@@alan98bert there are some very very good SAS teams as well and they are even better then SEAL teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 but I do strongly believe SEAL team 6 is better then them all. I mean no disrespect to the SAS in anyway it's just my opinion.

They parachuted in. As an American this story hits hard. Absolutely Deadly Gentle and kind. That's how we roll. Your daughter definitely doesn't want to ve there.
The Navy Seals parachuted out of an Air Force Special Operations MC-130H Combat Talon 2 aircraft at high altitude so the kidnappers couldn't hear them coming, the helicopters came later to pick them up.
The military has specialized skydiving operations for these types of situations. HALO, high-altitude low opening and HAHO, high altitude high opening. Both allow the jets to mimic normal passenger flights. The first is used to get the troops down faster opening their chute at 800ft after free falling 31,000 feet. The second allows them to glide up to 50 miles. This means no one, on the ground, would ever hear a jet.
Jessica knew it was dangerous, but she wasn't careless. In interviews years later she said she didn't want to visit that part of the country at that time. Her coworker and boss Paul pressured her into it.
The Navy Seals are an elite military group. They go in covert with night goggles, more than likely and they know who is who before they start taking people out. They are so skilled and quiet that they rarely have losses on missions like this. It's usually the bad guys that lose.
I love your family. As an educator, it’s important to teach our kids history. After all, we don’t need to make the same mistakes twice. I can tell how sensitive your son is. 🥰
Aidan if you were still in the US I can promise you that you'd get hit up by a recruiter to potentially become a Seal. They recruit young athletes with high marks in school, they came at me but I knew I didn't have the guts to make it, but I legit think you would be a prime candidate.
I'm pretty sure all Navy recruiters use the "you can be a seal" line when recruiting. Remember all military recruiters are just like used car salesmen. They will only tell you the good and none of the bad.
I'm speculating how the team got there. Probably with a HALO insertion. It is a parachute jump at high altitude (HA) and the parachutes only open at low altitude (LO) to avoid detection. There is no way to tell for sure how they got there. At the time & probably still today, Somalia was a series of territories run by warlords. I think today Yeman (across a gulf from Somalia) is the most dangerous but Somalia is still right up there.

This was big in our unit. A few of us were from Portland.
Seal Team Six jumped from a Plane from 24k feet during a dangerous wind and Solar storm.
“How did they get there? … How did they know who she was?” They’re Navy SEALs.
Right? As an American I didn't even think about that until he said it. Well....they got there on SEAL power and they knew where she was cuz......you know, they know that stuff. LOL
EXACTLY! dude has no clue 🤦🏽♀️
They can read lisence plates from satilights, I think they could find Jesica in a localized area of a desert.
Touching story..God bless Jessica and keep her safe
I feel like people all over hate Americans, but sometimes it has massive massive perks
Love our British family, and I love that you guys are pumping so many videos out
Much love, be safe and happy
They were so brave.
The Danish man rescued with her said he was so lucky to be captured with an American.
Could you imagine? lol
@@sc1338us and the brits/canadians/ausies are the only ones who have conducted succesfull hostage rescue in foriegn countries in modern times from the 80's til today

more reactions like this please office bloke fam! love it
I don't have TV. Thank you for sharing this story.
Most likely they landed a few miles from where Jessica was being held. Then they quietly moved on foot using night vision equipment until they got there. No seals were injured during the gun battle.
Yes. That'd exactly what their did. So the bandits couldn't hear them
They parachuted miles away and walked from there
Muts respect for the young woman i saluut her gratiings from Holland
What an Amazing story.
I am a proud American I love my country. We are not near perfect but we keep trying
Thank you for your service brother first of all. As a USAF veteran you are correct about intelligence, we are so advanced no one could understand.
"As a retired SAS commando"
- no, you aren't
S/F Brother!
My thought as well. A HALO jump so the plane wouldn't be heard.
@@singledad1313 HAHO. More distance with a sport chute.
@@opfor7808 With a high opening wouldn't they be more likely to disperse before landing?
It is likely there was a cruiser, destroyer and/or amphib sitting off the coast with the SEALs in constant communication.
@@forrestcommander6283 I'd say there's a good chance of that.
Wouldn't think so much on how they DO there JOB. Just thankful they do. THANKS TO THESE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN.
The seal team got there via a HALO jump. High Altitude/Low Opening parachute drop from an altitude of 30,000 to 40,000 feet, depending on conditions. Opening their parachutes at a height of 800 feet, or less.
America is the home of the free because of the few and brave. Never forget, UNITED WE STAND for divided we fall.
This is where the American Military is at its best. Despite all our weapons systems and power, the small hand to hand special forces are amazing.
I am proud to be an American. Proud and lucky. I also have a deep pride in the fact that Great Britain is one of our closest allies.
A big thank you to our US military who don’t get enough praise for all they do to protect us as citizens. 🇺🇸 We are grateful! I had never heard about this woman’s tragedy. God does answer prayers.
There is no better fighting force in recorded history. Seal Team Six is the best to have ever live. No warrior compares. They do the impossible.
The Seals all survived. We don't have exact details but they would have dropped in there - some of the highest trained military in the world with night optics and body armor and basically just mowed down essentially a random gang.
Tears of the Sun. Good movie
I appreciate his commentary. he was asking good questions which caused the other two to start engaging in the conversation.
I recommend " The Green Beret who went on a one man rampage to save his comrades".
I love this family
I imagine they brought a ship nearby - used helicopters and dropped in quietly and took care of business. Love my country!
I love the Navy Seals. Former Navy Nurse
14:31 eye on the sky...
They jumped off from 20k feet and landed several miles away n walked....
This is the U.S seals
They are unbreakable
Know everything 😂 Thanks Mr . Marcinko!!!🤜🤛
America heroes , God bless them.😊😊😊
God Bless our Military 🇺🇸
They do have a video of the seals and how they saved her.....! God Bless our Soldiers and America!
There are some SAS teams that are very much on par with anything the US can field.
@@alan98bert there are some very very good SAS teams as well and they are even better then SEAL teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 but I do strongly believe SEAL team 6 is better then them all. I mean no disrespect to the SAS in anyway it's just my opinion.
I'm sure the gentlemen of the SAS and SBS would disagree with that assumption.
@@jkm49us25 I'm sure they would.
America military does a lot of awesome things for America and I am very proud of our military!! The people that don’t respect the American military has no idea how well they are trained and how well they really perform at great risk for freedom !! Amen !!
Oh they got their 45 million dollars. It just happened to be in the form of navy seal training and specialized equipment lol
Bro just learned about the real world lol. So wholesome. Good on you mate.
Seals would have had night vision goggles. They could see their targets, but their targets couldn't see them.
It makes me proud to be an American
This look like it was tough for Sophie, look like she was about to cry, I was feeling bad for her.
Land of the free, because of the brave.
I've not heard that before. Truth!

All gods are man made. You believe all gods except the one that you want to believe in are man made. Well I think just like you, I just take it one god further.
God did not create man, it is man who has created the gods. All of them, including the one you chose to believe in.
I don't believe in all these imaginary gods including yours because unlike you I don't have this need too.
I don't put belief before knowledge because unlike you I care whether my beliefs are true or not. I don't want to believe I want to know. When it comes to your god your belief is all you have just like every other religious person on this planet. Their belief is all they have when it comes to their gods. Cheers!
The scratching noises her and “helper” heard were the seals crawling into the camp.
The Navy Seals are an elite military group. They go in covert with night goggles, more than likely and they know who is who before they start taking people out. They are so skilled and quiet that they rarely have losses on missions like this. It's usually the bad guys that lose.
May God Bless our Soldiers today and yesterday!
The SEALS Parachuted into Somalia!
They knew where she was because of Satellite imagery and Local Intelligence
Very Brave ..Love you!
Alas, no good deed goes unpunished, but at least this one had a happy resolution.
I love your family. As an educator, it’s important to teach our kids history. After all, we don’t need to make the same mistakes twice. I can tell how sensitive your son is. 🥰
I have a family member of this group, They are nearly unstoppable no matter what, and will die for the greater good.
Seal team 6, i they are after you, the last thing you remember is dying. And if they are there to rescure you, all of your captors are going to die
Very well done. I liked and subscribed. God bless from Arkansas.
Insanely proud...
