- The time has come for us to make our way to London Heathrow airport as we embark on a epic trip to Tokyo Japan.
We have been dreaming of going to Tokyo for many years and it is also been our our bucket list for years, so lets get this started!
Our journey starts as we make our way to London Heathrow airport so we can check into our Cathay Pacific flight to Tokyo japan. We of course stop off at the services to grab some food as the drive from Eastbourne to London Heathrow is about 2 hours give or take the traffic.
As we arrived at London Heathrow we check in and head through security to see what Terminal 3 has to offer, we also start to get super excited and realise that we have a 11 hour flight to Hong Kong then a 4 hour flight to Tokyo. We head over to our gate and see the Cathay Pacific plane that will take us to Hong Kong International airport.
We board and find out that we have no one next to us or behind us so of course we take advantage of this and have a row to ourselves. As the plane takes off we check out the food menu for our flight and see some great options including free cup noodles available which we were extremely happy about. The food for both dinner and breakfast was amazing and the service was brilliant the cabin crew really looked after us. Then we notice that 11 hours has flown by and we land at Hong Kong International Airport, we did not realise the size of this airport it is huge! more like a shopping centre or Mall.
As time went by we had food and checked out shops like Gucci, Disney store of course and other high end stores before we had to board our flight to Tokyo. This was only a 4 hour flight to Tokyo Japan but we had great entertainment selections and again good food. As we landed at Haneda airport we could not contain our excitement as we got through immigration and collected our bags we were here Tokyo!
We stayed at the Royal Park Hotel at Haneda airport so we could get a good night sleep as we had to pick up our friends tomorrow afternoon at the same airport.

So excited watching these! LHR T3 is the worst terminal, it's so dark and cramped!
Haha nothing beats discovering a Japanese toilet for the first time!
L & R Dreaming it’s set to be demolished at the and of the year as it’s really old now.
Yeah it was not the best Terminal. I know its worse when you come back to the UK and are disappointed with the toilets. Also have a great time to Tokyo as well Xxx

yeah we love Gatwick its so good but have only been to Terminal 3 at Heathrow so maybe the other terminals are better not sure

Brilliant.....Excited for the rest of these vlogs....I flew Cathay Pacific years ago when I was younger....Flight was empty so me & my mum got to sprall out along a row of seats each....the lil bags of toothpaste, socks n stuff was nice too! Hope you guys had a great trip!! xx

Great start. We are planning to go to Tokyo in a couple of years time for our 25th anniversary. A few nights in Tokyo, then a few nights in Disney.
Another difference between the door and where you were is, at the door, you have to be able to open it to sit at it. Or so I was told when I flew with BA and Delta.

we been in hong kong airport ona stop over on way to australia and flew with Cathy Pacific great flights we flew on one what was not full and slept on seats from australia to hong kong it was fab

Great travel day vlog. We are going to Hong Kong in November on the way to Australia, travelling on Cathay Pacific so it was great to see your trip. Its a shame you didn't visit Disney, we will be going as we have 5 days in Hong Kong. It was interesting to see the airport one of the best in the world , but it is Changi in Singapore that is voted Number 1 it has numerous gardens a swimming pool Cinema and of course shops we will be visiting Singapore on the way home from Australia so it will be interesting to compere. Jet lag plus turbulence makes for some pretty great laughter. I think this might be my fave travel day vlog for the two of you. I’ve been going to Disneyworld since 1984, in that time I must have bumped into one or both of you in England in Epcot...I had food and a drink in the Rose and Crown on two occasions on this trip, do you both miss working and living there?
Pity you weren’t able to get a slightly longer layover in Hong Kong, so that you could hop over to HK Disney and see Mystic Manor!
