Man, I was watching this with my headphones on and was NOT prepared for you to be the first woodworker to post a video where you heard the machines and not music. Man, my ears were BEEDING when that planar got turned on. lol
@@squarepegtommy7670 hehehe...no worries mate. Love your work regardless. I just found this particular video in my recommendations today and just wasn't ready for it is all. :)
Hi been watching so many of your creative works and appreciate your instructions. I wanted to ask many of your segmented bowls use 6 segments, could you explain why you choose to use 6 pieces? As a new turner appreciate all your help. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much for your interest and support. I determine how many segments to use by the type of pattern I want to achieve in the project. Four to six segments will give a nice and gentler curve. I have used up to 24 pieces when I have a tighter pattern. I hope this explanation helps. Have fun!
Thanks! I used Rockler 10" and 12" wood clamps and for the corner clamp it is a Merle Adjustable Clamp. If you google it, you will find them on most woodworker supply sites. Thanks for watching, Tom
Thanks! I am using food safe polyurethane. As for the oil, my favorite color is "Chrome". If it's not shiny, I keep spraying until it is! I appreciate your comments! Tom
Thank you so much! I am using a food safe polyurethane with multiple coats. I also then buff the final coat with carnauba wax. The result is a durable shine. Thank you for watching, Tom

And one other question product name for ring clamp? Thank you.

Do you not get snipe putting the rings through?
Yes on occasion. When that happens I set the planner for a very small cut and change the direction of the cut. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
What is the finish you're using?
It is a food safe polyurethane. Thanks for watching! Tom
I never get the angles right 😔
Try calculating on the computer first, if you have a design program that will do that for you. Thank you for watching! Tom
Nice, but not sure about all that prissy piano music.
Thanks! I go between piano music, or guitar, with a little banjo thrown in for fun. Hope you found the video entertaining. Thanks for watching, Tom
