Hi Tom, from the pictures on store websites you can set the belt to the vertical position and move the table from the disc sander part to the belt.

Gyppor Thanks for watching! If know how please tell me because I have tried and it doesn’t work, wish it did

Did you figure out how to attach the aluminum table when the 36” belt is in the vertical position?

Thanks for Watching Jon! Yes I did! I’m a little embarrassed, it’s super simple

Hi Tom. I'm so happy that you did a review for this and the scroll saw. Wen is a pretty good product and company, so Im really glad you found them. I have this sander and their table saw w/ stand and so far everything's working great.
Thanks for the scroll saw video because I'm picking one up from them this week.
As always, I trust your opinion and advice on things, like your grills and air fryers, etc.
Keep up the great work my friend. Joe

I got this belt sander in relatively late 2017 and it was $90, the best shop purchase I've ever made, still works perfectly and I've made so many things with it (including knives if anyone was wondering)

I just got one and started using it last night. Seems to work pretty well. I learned how easy it is to get your fingers too close to the paper and lose some skin. But I will want to follow your comments.

4:34 i don't have this thing, but i guess that plate serves not as a "rest" but rather as a stopper when you sand item longitudinal (with the belt sander arm set to horizontal position), eg. when sanding the long side of a 2x4 wood block.
For the "rest" when sanding with the arm vertical, detach the rest from the sanding disk area, and attach it to the sanding belt arm.

Nice review. Pretty sure you can mount the disc table by the belt when you have belt positioned vertically.

Did you ever figure out that the disc table goes in the place of the sanding guard for the belt

This was so helpful thank you! I can't wait to set it up & make some dust!! I ordered an adapter from amazon for my vacuum hose w/o realizing my mini shop vac would work.

I'm pretty sure you can remove the table from the disc part and attach it to the belt when it's vertical.

Thanks for watching Bryan! I wish that was the case but it doesn’t work like that. Wish it did!

@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ I just got one, and the table with the miter slot does fit on the vertical belt. Oddly it doesn't mention it in the instructions, but that is what the larger unthreaded hole and the smaller threaded hole that (that you realized the knob fits into) are for.

Let us know how it keeps running. Ive had one before and mine started giving issue with tracking. it would always run but had to adjust tracking all the time... I wound up buying one of these...Porter Cable Table Top Sander from Lowes..

Thanks for Watching Billy! I will do an update as time goes on. I had a Milwaukee Belt sander once that I had to adjust the tracking constantly, finally got rid of it and bought a cheap Skil one, that Ive had no issues with

Your table on the disc side should work on the vertical side

Why is it always only 4 inches wide ??! And is the belt sander paper 36 inches high ?! Or do they mean the whole thing ??!

Both sander run at the same time.? Seems abit dangerous if you have others around. Just an observation, like any tool always be careful and aware of your surroundings

I've had mine for a couple years and use it quite a bit. It'll bog down if you apply to much pressure, but that's probably my fault.

All belt sanders do that, if they didn't you'd pop the breaker constantly. let the sander do the work.
