One thing I noticed, in this song, and the others on the minialbum, they are adding more flourishes to their singing. Instead of singing things straight all the time, they add the occasional little runs at the ends of phrases, do some small harmonies and such. Just seems like they are more comfortable with singing overall, more confident, and not necessarily doing things the easy way. It's nice to hear growth in their singing. Also, I noticed Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung have been writing lyrics on the album, so nice to see them getting more of a role in creating the songs this time round as well.

The genre switching in this song reminded me a lot of SNSD's I Got A Boy but I found the transitions in YOY much smoother and less jarring. The chorus can definitely be a bit repetitive, but I think that's the case with most Twice songs and not necessarily a bad thing- it's what make their songs so catchy and memorable. Any chance you guys could react to K/DA - Pop/Stars (ft. (G)I-dle, Madison Beer & Jaira Burns)?
Absolutely. I love I Got A Boy, but it definitely wasn't as fluid in its changing structure and genres as Yes or Yes is. Both very fun songs, but they definitely went about it in different ways.

I would have skipped starting with the chorus, I liked how Mina started the song and then move to JongYeon's part to build more hype towards the catchy chorus, but as predicted all Twice songs get stuck in your head. Their bsides are surprisingly more experimental, I like that because sometimes they're play it safe and they turn a bit repetitive.
@Leo Carlo Aguilar they definitely have good bsides, I specially like some from their very first album and also I like Touchdown, Wohoo, Sunset and Say you Love me, just saying being the most popular group I expect albums with with amazing bsides as great as their title tracks. This is my opinion by no means I want to offend anyone because I really like and respect Twice, maybe now thinking it might be the prominence use of Jihyo voice on all of the songs, maybe the line distribution could be fairer in order for the songs to sound more different. 👍
