They are clever getting a patent for that, after so many started to completely copy their earlier stuff. I know, most alu-profile rigs end up looking similar anyway, but there are just some 100% P1-X ripoffs on the market now which makes me quite sad for them. SimLab does an amazing job and they've always been helpful and fast to respond personally with anything I ever asked, even when I decided against buying something from them.
Love my P1-X, will never get a different one!

this kit is the smartest simracing product ever, it solves once and for all the main issues with triple monitors..reason why I went to ultrawide, tired of neverending adjustments that were never completely right at the end. well done Simlab

@@RichardSchouteren hi Richard, any chance the store will allow to order just 1 vesa + monitor side instead of all 3, to use it on a ultrawide? it will solve the issue of the monitor tilt due to the weight of a 49", and also it will be of great help for the ease of mounting and unmounting such a heavy monitor to the stand. thanks.

    Thanks for the video.
I have two tips for you for the calipers.
1.) to measure the center to center distance between two equal diameter holes,
A- measure one hole with inside jaws, then hit zero
B-now use inside jaws to measure two circles apart from each other. You will get the exact center to center number (way better than eyeballing)
2.) to measure depths, use the depth rod. Also Way better than eyeballing the inside jaws.
God bless you and your family.

I installed a set last weekend. Worth every penny. Advice...the flexible extension which comes with an iFixit kit (or similar product) makes the lateral set screw adjustments much easier. Also...probably an unnecessary caution...but if you wind in the lower set screw adjusting tilt too much...you may push the vertical set screws off their ledge.

One of the shortcomings I am surprised you didn't call out is if/when you pull at ALL on the bottom of the monitor, it can collapse onto the stand-side bracket. because there is no top screw or grub facing the plate to keep it from rocking back and forth.

I thought they were 80Euro a piece and was debating on adding them to the order, after watching your review i felt i needed them because i know the pains of aligning triple monitors, then i checked the site and its 80 euro for a set of 3! Goes without saying im adding them to the cart! TY!

A note about those 5mm grub set screws, be careful on how much force you use to adjust them. I managed to bend two of them when I installed them. Easily replaced of course, but they were a challenge to remove after being bent. I guess I underestimated my own strength, and over estimated my intelligence. A wonderful kit none the less.

Another great review Barry with great information!!
It drives my OCD nuts though when you don't use the depth measurement tool on your verniers when you're measuring the setting length of the 40mm long socket head caps and just wing the measurement using the other end of the tool. I know it's just a mm or two but I would have to have them both at exactly 24mm and that's what the depth measurement end of the verniers would allow you to. :-)

From my experience, overlap monitor is not a good idea. It make the line never really straight. I make my monitors as close as they can, this leaves me a gap less than 1mm and just use some electrical tap to cover the gap from back. No gap and perfect straight lines in game.

I'm looking for opinions on what other people prefer. I have curved triple 34" monitors. Should I butt the monitors up to each other or over lap the side monitor with the front monitor to make the bezel look smaller? I'm not sure how it would look and work with curved monitors. I have them butted up against each other now and they look great but, would like the bezel as small as possible. I have the zero bezel kits also and just not a fan of them as they are for 27' and are a little short for my monitors and distort the displays just a little to much for my liking.

    What would you recommend
    I was think 1600mm ( 40 / 80 )
It’s only the size of the crossbar that’s holding me back

This is a great solution to a complex problem, but I see one limitation with this design. This will work perfectly well with stationary monitors but if you have a motion rig with your monitors mounted to the rig I see this being a problem as there is nothing actually holding the monitor rigidly in place. It would be smart for a second iteration that allows you to actually lock in the position once you have it. It would add a bit of complexity engineering wise, but be vast improvement.

    • @RichardSchouteren

Mounting monitors to a moving platform is never a good solution because weight slows down motion (acts as a damper) and introduces more wear on actuators.
