I honestly much prefer the silicone tips over the memory foam tips since it adds a bit of bass and open-ness to the sound, especially the no name ones I got that's got a green tube inside. The memory foam's a bit eh, if I'm going to be honest. Tried it with different sizes, too, not much change in sound.
That's more than fair. Tips are super personal, just like sound-signature, really. The most important thing is to find that specific one that works wonders for you hehe ;)
Loved the sound of the BLONs and would have been happy to continue with them, but bought two pairs and both failed in less than 12 months (Left sides went to reduced volume) plus one split in half when removing a tight foam tip. Bought T2s recently so can't comment on longevity but the timbre, especially their ability to transmit the full emotional impact of vocals is quite astonishing and they seem bullet-proof. I've found my hopefully permanent sonic home and am playing more music than I have for years, more so than with the BLONs. There are newer revised versions of the T2, but from reviews - the Pro's have slightly tamed treble and are warmer and the Evo's are less relaxed and more closed in. These change would ruin them for me. Maybe my ability to hear treble is jaded with age, but I would not want less and I absolute love an open and relaxed sound that let's you listen IN to the music. Using large globe-shaped memory foam tips, I find the balance exactly right and the price vs performance and quality equation is hugely in your favour.
That’s one of the most complete recollections I’ve seen in the comments in a while. Thanks for sharing bro. You’re absolutely on the same camp as I am… None of the other T2 variants are nearly as good as the original, to me. They’re still one of my all-time favorites. Where did you get the globe-shaped foams tho? Oh, and tough luck with the Blons… that’s hell’a unfortunate, but I can totally see it happening. U sure it was the IEM tho and not the cables? That stupid connector they use tend to make it a tad harder to just “grab a cable from another IEM and test it”, but I’ve had cables fail on me FAAAAR more often than IEMs ever had. Anyways, have a good one!
@@francohic You have to get the right size memory foam tips for the T2. Then there's no issue with fitting and comfort. I don't know if they'd work well with silicone tips.
They are excellent, and considering the price...! I use silicon tips, not the original but the ones i got with the Moondrop Starfield. Starfield is an improvment, not a huge one btw (especially for sub bass). On some music T2 are, for me, equals (a bit brighter, less sub bass), it depends of what sound you prefer at the moment. I think they sound better and better, don't know if it's my ears that have adapted or if the T2s needed some times to open up. And i think they got more bass than many reviews says. Really pleasant (btw Starfield too!).
Laurent TILLON thanks for sharing dude, and excellent points you got there.... They do need a bit of time to open up, I agree they have a nice amount of bass and do treat the low end quite well. And, of course, the “flavour” of their sound is, to me, the ideal one for when I wanna chill. Its just like a hot bowl of Ramen in a cold night... Its not the same vibe as when you go for a burger with fries before a game or something. T2s are still waaay up there for me, especially for the price.
I spent most of last night back-to-back comparing those with the KZ ZS10 PROs... and the KZ are clearly better (not by a huge margin, but it's a clear win). Better low end, better clarity and range all around.
BIll Geo I mean, taste is subjective as hell, but the “better” low end between these two in my opinion is a matter of quantity, not quality, which simmers down to preference. Clarity isn’t an area where I’d say they are better either, but they are brighter, which can mask that, but that plus them being more exciting and vibrant means the ZS10Pro can very easily be fatiguing to people, while the T2 being more relaxed, won’t. Again, total matter of preference, but for a more exciting IEM with actually better (and more) low end and more sound stage, I’d go for the Blon BL03 or 05, really.
@@TechHyped Maybe when I sell my TINs I'll get a pair of BL0s (what the dif between the 03-05s? anyway). But to my ears the ZS10 PROs sound way richer. The are more sensitive too so they can be driven hard with almost any amp.
BIll Geo if I answer that, I’ll totally spoil my upcoming review on it... Screw it! The bl05 is the 03 made better across the board (sound-wise). Between the 2, BL05 for sure... Especially considering the $7 difference (msrp, I know...) Ps: now just promise to come back and watch the review in a couple of days hahahaha
I was super torn between the T2s, Blon BL-03, and the KZ ZS10s... Bro… you said sub $50 + “warmth”… Im incredibly tired right now and can ONLY think of the Tin T2…. And honestly, don’t really think you’d find anything better for the $
Honestly? Not really. From my testing so far (review on the aria is in production so, still testing them), the Aria is slightly more low-end focused than the Starfields, and both are better than the T2. If you already have the Aria, wouldn't say it's WORTH IT to buy the T2s... Even if I absolutely love the T2s, but gotta be real hehe.
