    I thought for sure you’d figure out that the cat was the key to the whole thing! I was thinking a few steps ahead of you, envisioning him swinging on that original platform from your garage door. Oh well.... he did a most excellent job demonstrating the use of the cat toy that inspired you. Well done both of you!😸😽👍🏾

    Oh, man. The drilling. Flashbacks to drilling out through-hole PCBs by hand.
    I dig this. Interesting concept, and it looks very cool.

    That is so cool! And I loved the explanation of why the pendulum idea didn't work.

      Like I said, I'm not a physicist, so I might be totally wrong about the pendulum thing!

      @@EmilysElectricOddities Seems like the z axis would show minimal change but the x and y should have given you an indication with every direction change. Those things are usually so sensitive you have to average the output.

    Emily-you could produce this as a commercial product. Really nice work

      Emily's Electric Oddities yes, I really do. Your challenge would be deciding if you wanted to do each one custom for a higher price and do the word turning yourself; have someone work with you to create a plastic commercial version; or, sell the parts as a kit with or without a turned case

    That’s really kind of amazing! First, amazing job on the ball itself- it’s gorgeous! And with no effects other than motion, that has a fabulous Sci-Fi sound to it.
    Way to represent!

    Interesting build. I know the problem with the aluminum front panels. It is really hard to get a decent finish on them, that stays. I have watched some videos about anodizing aluminum. I have not tried it, yet, but it looks like it is not really hard. You have built it very well. It would be interesting to have a filter, that is controlled by the accelerometer instead of the pitch. And the notes are played back via a wireless Midi kind of thing.

    Amazing!! It would be one of the instruments most used by Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd) in his compositions. One of their favorite toys/instruments. Who knows how it would have been "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" with Emily's synthesizer... 😉

    I'd really like to build this, but I have problems compiling it to a nano. I installed the Mozzi library, but now the Arduino programm tells me: SIN8192_NUM_CELLS was not declared in this scope. Other sketches work to upload to the nano. Any ideas?

    • @EmilysElectricOddities
      @EmilysElectricOddities  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try adding:
      #include
      somewhere near the top of your sketch and recompile. Let me know what happens.

    • @EmilysElectricOddities
      @EmilysElectricOddities  4 ปีที่แล้ว
