when i saw dragonspine my first thought was "i'm gonna climb this mountain" even though i was ar15 at the time. i ran away from all the enemies, and when my character died from sheer cold i switched and revived them while continuing my climb. instead of the regular route where you walk, i chose to climb straight up, helped escape from enemies and was faster. i remember seeing a seelie, it wasn't like the usual ones for it was red, and when i followed it it gave me warmth... i followed it all the way to its court and there i was able to take a break, heal my characters, take a moment to watch the view... when i contiued my journey to unlock this area, i saw it. the staue of the seven, not even 50 meters away. when i got there to touch it, hear the words "the world opens before it to those with noble hands", i stopped. the statue was blocked by weird rocks and i couldn't reach it. i tried to break it, but what could a team of lumine, amber, kaeya and lisa really do? overwhelmed with my crushing defeat, knowing that my efforts were in vain and that i spent so many eggs, steaks, and chicken skewers, i looked back at the mountain. smiling to myself and thanking it for the experience i jumped, gliding back to the camp at the foot of the mountains. i haven't stepped foot in that mountain since
Dragonspine OST will for ever be nostalgic and bittersweet to me. My mom died of COVID during the 2nd week of the event. I can't stop crying every time I hear a tune from Dragonspine because it reminds me of the last days I used to be happy, and that is why I avoid visiting there; even if I still have chests to open.

Dragonspine might be a cursed area, that explains the fallen pillar at the top of the mountain (it’s similar to the ones we see when we open the game), and those are from celestia so maybe dragonspine was once a normal civilization that lived normally and was a part of mondstadt til it got cursed for some reason. Also if you have noticed the Chasm in liyue is still locked so i have the same theory, dragonspine got frozen so maybe the chasm will be a desert.
@@hafssa2770 It's literally confirmed that Dragonspine was cursed by Celestia, who were the ones who sent down the Skyfrost Nail (that big pillar) and turned Dragonspine from a normal climate into the harsh cold that killed everyone or drove them away.
Dragonspine just has a special feeling of solace. People know that in a few years, listening to Genshin soundtrack will be nostalgic. Probably a lot of people will think about the Liyue Battle Theme first, but the Dragonspine set is definitely just too special to neglect.
To me it already is nostalgic. I've been taking a break waiting for new regions, and whenever I hear monstads theme or dragonspine's theme, nostalgia and the urge to play hits lol

When the pandemic is over, I’m traveling to Switzerland and I plan to hike to the mountains listening to this soundtrack. I’m going to camp at night and look at the stars while listening to Snow-Buried Tales and then listen to Fragile Fantasy while I watch the sunrise. Playing Genshin reinvigorated my love of traveling, and the money I’ll spend traveling will be well worth it.

Yeah dragonspine is basically Switzerland as monsadt is germany with a little vibe of italy from diluc winery France will have it's own kingdom Name Fontaine Some of the npc do say it ressemble monsadt but at the same time it is different

Indeed! There was that one song i'd play during windblume that makes me so nostalgic, hearing it during certain quests makes my heart swell and i can't remember the name at the moment. I absolutely love his work and am very excited to hear what else he has in store for our ears

me who spent a total of 17hours in Dragonspine to get 100%, I am unsure if it's short duration or long. That being said I definitely would love a compass since there's times the game do put some common chests randomly.

Yeah, as an example just look at genshin impact's senior that is honkai impact. The soundtrack is really really good(prefer honkai soundtrack more tho)

(some find it calming, and many others find it sad: the music stays the same mid fight like something sad happened in the past) (Although, many find sad the music of dragonspine for many reasons. Some say, it's cause of the fact that there is a dead dragon / creature that could be Dvalin's father or relative, maybe even a friend or an enemy, any way, it might have died in a horrible way, so that's why the music is some kind of sad. There is an additional theory that the skyfrost pillar pierced the dragon/creature mid flight and let it to perish in this very place, due to the crater that's surrounding only leaving it's heart and music to play for his death. But, there is no evidence such as ancient markings on the pillar. There might be some evidence to what happened in this place somewhere, but I'm afraid we won't find anything about the dead creature for now. Maybe in future or there is already some kind of intel)

When I first reached Dragonspine, I tried to climb the mountain. At one point it was impossible to go further, mountain too high, the sheer cold building up fast, I stopped mid-way and looked around. The wind was howling, snowflakes swirling, you couldn't see anything past the snow. Everything was white and lifeless. The piano was strangely calm. I felt so lonely among the vast of nature. And I understood Albedo a bit more. Till this day it's my no.1 Genshin experience that no others can top, and I've had a bunch of spectacular moments along the way.
Reminds me of the time in late December when I got covid and isolated myself alone for 14 days far from friends and families. So cold, so lonely. This game help me through it all at some point. Every time I hear the dragonspine soundtracks, I always track back to that time, and then the bittersweet memories linger...
It's Christmas eve now, and it is time for me to roam back to Dragonspine. Just chilling there, listen to the soundtrack while reminiscing about what happened last year. I could never bring myself to dislike this region. There was a time when Dragonspine became a coping tool and brought me so much joy when I felt so lonely. (I found a few hidden chests, yeay! 🙌🏼)

Been playing this game since launch. Mondstadt and Liyue are nostalgic, sure, but Dragonspine's OST is just nostalgic to another level. Had a friend who no longer plays this game who would co-opwith me, in fact he got me into the game, and we were both so excited when this subregion dropped. Recently new genshin player at AR27 and gotta say hearing 17:41 Unfinished Frescoes will never be the same like the first time I heard it when arriving in dragonspine, it was beyond a beautiful experience for my ears, flawless ost🥺
Unfinished Frescoes is definitely one of my favorites on here as well. Definitely gave me that desolate feeling as I was crawling and climbing my way upwards
18:22 - it's just so perfect. There is truly nothing like this soundtrack. It makes you feel like you're in a dream. I will literally teleport to Dragonspine just to look up at the swirling storm around the pillar and listen to this music.
At the beginning it sounds really sad and depressing But at the time stamp you mentioned it sounds a little more happy, comforting, like someone is on your side
I’m missing albedo now :( Though the lore behind this one mountain is really dark, the music fits it perfectly. It’s calming but hits a bit of darkness into it.
Fragile Fantasy is my absolute favourite theme from Dragonspine. I’ll stand around in the mountains waiting for it to replay, and hum along to it every damn time. It has a gorgeous winter/holiday season vibe that I fell in love with first time hearing it

I really think mihoyo really outdid themselves with this track for dragonspine. You could sit down on a couch and listen to this for 25 minutes and not get bored, the amount of effort you guys put into every piece of the songs are outstanding and the tiniest details never get left out. Now im not going to lie to myself, Liyue and Mondstats tracks are beautiful in their own way and im not trying to throw them under the bus but this is on another level. I cant wait to see what yall do with izunama.
@@Lilyjem39 YES YES YES. I almost forgot about this comment but thank you for commenting on it. I still think the Dragonspine music is S+ but Inazuma blew me out of the water. When we first got off the ship I almost died it was too good for my ears. I think Inazuman music is really really good in the sense that it flows very nicely and there is a lot of complexity. The reason I liked Dragonspine so much was because of the love and care they put into the soft melodies. In Inazuma it's a different story. Yu Peng Chen went for a more brash and harsh style of music but it fits really well with the old era Japan feel. As always they used traditional instruments so it felt very authentic. What I thought was pretty interesting though is that even with the brash style dominating they had a lot of very calming songs like you were walking through a tall forest in the dead of night. The first 10 tracks were very chill with traditional elements and pianos. And one last thing, it was very bouncy this time. I don't know if you understand what I mean but the violins felt very bump, bump, bump up and down. All in all, 10/10 soundtrack. Very good mix of harsh and soft and a very nice flow of the tracks. What about you? I might have to come back to this post every new update.
May have to reword some things. It's not that the music felt brash it's more that they used very sharp sounding instruments if you know what I mean. Overall it's very melancholy and sweeping
New player, just got doen with almost everything in Inazuma but I must say that Dragonspine is my favourite zone Beautiful, dangerous, calm and intriguing. The sense of wonder and exploration when uncovering it's secrets and feelings of dread when uncovering others is wonderful
idk but they probably inspired on 17/18/19th centuries composers like Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Beethoven and others to compose some of them kinda remembers me Swan Lake from Tchaikovsky and etc i love it
When i finally got around to checking this area out, i was unbearably horrified by it. Every enemy was almost impossible to beat with my barely leveled team, the sheer cold would give me anxiety and the main ice quest was pretty irritating. But despite all that, i kept sticking around, exploring for hidden chests, time trials and doing side quests there. So many secrets, sorrowful stories and solemn areas just felt scary but at the same time had an odd beauty that i didn't wanna leave alone. After a while i grew to almost master handling the sheer cold while exploring still. I can remember the sheer exhilaration i felt meeting and beating the secret boss without any pre-prepping, then finishing the last main quest for the area, i felt like i finally conquered the mountain and i it wasn't so bad for me anymore. I still have some things i gotta finish there, but once i do i'll still come back to farm and just enjoy the wonderful soundtrack by a warm campfire. I love Dragonspine, i hope Snezhnaya is as beautiful and mysterious if not more so than the intimidating mountain.
after seeing the lore behind the cold in dragonspine, the first song especially gives you such a feel to the emotions people must’ve felt, hoping one day the sun would come again, that one day, the hero would return.

However,due to an incident,the Skyfrost Nail fell and hit the silver Ley Line below it and caused the area to be frozen with unnatural snow. The Hero Meat spoken of returned only to see his/her homeland corrupted with it. The hero then left his/her legacy within the area and never to be seen anymore
They got some really talented people on the sound team. This conveys the atmosphere of dragon spine so well. From the lofty mysterious peak to the ruins below. Such a brilliant arrangement.
Dragonspine still holds my top spot for favorite exploration. The atmosphere on Seirai island is pretty good, but Dragonspine was just on another level.
i havent played for the full two years, but i started in early april 2021,,, the osts are already so nostalic. the last year feels like it didnt happen and im just taken back to the low ar times of exploring with my friends or doing random stuff in co-op. if i could start again, i wouldnt, because it was the right time with the right people.

Needing to conquer the challenge to get the treasure and growth is a classical theme found in all story-based media. It's makes the it more meaningful. Although it is true, it would have made sense to call upon the other side of the coin: the "adventurers have to be prepared for their quest" theme which is also found in this game. Would you rather have it easy or have a challenge to conquer?

Dragonspine just has a special feeling of solace. People know that in a few years, listening to Genshin soundtrack will be nostalgic. Probably a lot of people will think about the Liyue Battle Theme first, but the Dragonspine set is definitely just too special to neglect.

(Although, many find sad the music of dragonspine for many reasons. Some say, it's cause of the fact that there is a dead dragon / creature that could be Dvalin's father or relative, maybe even a friend or an enemy, any way, it might have died in a horrible way, so that's why the music is some kind of sad.
There is an additional theory that the skyfrost pillar pierced the dragon/creature mid flight and let it to perish in this very place, due to the crater that's surrounding only leaving it's heart and music to play for his death. But, there is no evidence such as ancient markings on the pillar.
There might be some evidence to what happened in this place somewhere, but I'm afraid we won't find anything about the dead creature for now. Maybe in future or there is already some kind of intel)

When I first reached Dragonspine, I tried to climb the mountain.
At one point it was impossible to go further, mountain too high, the sheer cold building up fast, I stopped mid-way and looked around. The wind was howling, snowflakes swirling, you couldn't see anything past the snow. Everything was white and lifeless. The piano was strangely calm. I felt so lonely among the vast of nature. And I understood Albedo a bit more.
Till this day it's my no.1 Genshin experience that no others can top, and I've had a bunch of spectacular moments along the way.
For me, I spent two months in dragon spine to listen to the music, its engraved in my mind now, and I love it.

Reminds me of the time in late December when I got covid and isolated myself alone for 14 days far from friends and families. So cold, so lonely. This game help me through it all at some point. Every time I hear the dragonspine soundtracks, I always track back to that time, and then the bittersweet memories linger...

Been playing this game since launch. Mondstadt and Liyue are nostalgic, sure, but Dragonspine's OST is just nostalgic to another level. Had a friend who no longer plays this game who would co-opwith me, in fact he got me into the game, and we were both so excited when this subregion dropped. Good times, in spite of the stresses associated with my first year of university and a global pandemic.
Dragonspine was the best Christmas present at the time of Covid. I would spend dozens of hours just roaming around and basking in the falling snow.

Haven't been to Dragonspine for over a year...Feel's Nostalgic.
I really think mihoyo really outdid themselves with this track for dragonspine. You could sit down on a couch and listen to this for 25 minutes and not get bored, the amount of effort you guys put into every piece of the songs are outstanding and the tiniest details never get left out. Now im not going to lie to myself, Liyue and Mondstats tracks are beautiful in their own way and im not trying to throw them under the bus but this is on another level. I cant wait to see what yall do with izunama.

@@Lilyjem39 YES YES YES. I almost forgot about this comment but thank you for commenting on it. I still think the Dragonspine music is S+ but Inazuma blew me out of the water. When we first got off the ship I almost died it was too good for my ears. I think Inazuman music is really really good in the sense that it flows very nicely and there is a lot of complexity. The reason I liked Dragonspine so much was because of the love and care they put into the soft melodies. In Inazuma it's a different story. Yu Peng Chen went for a more brash and harsh style of music but it fits really well with the old era Japan feel. As always they used traditional instruments so it felt very authentic. What I thought was pretty interesting though is that even with the brash style dominating they had a lot of very calming songs like you were walking through a tall forest in the dead of night. The first 10 tracks were very chill with traditional elements and pianos. And one last thing, it was very bouncy this time. I don't know if you understand what I mean but the violins felt very bump, bump, bump up and down. All in all, 10/10 soundtrack. Very good mix of harsh and soft and a very nice flow of the tracks. What about you? I might have to come back to this post every new update.
May have to reword some things. It's not that the music felt brash it's more that they used very sharp sounding instruments if you know what I mean. Overall it's very melancholy and sweeping

When i finally got around to checking this area out, i was unbearably horrified by it. Every enemy was almost impossible to beat with my barely leveled team, the sheer cold would give me anxiety and the main ice quest was pretty irritating. But despite all that, i kept sticking around, exploring for hidden chests, time trials and doing side quests there. So many secrets, sorrowful stories and solemn areas just felt scary but at the same time had an odd beauty that i didn't wanna leave alone.
After a while i grew to almost master handling the sheer cold while exploring still. I can remember the sheer exhilaration i felt meeting and beating the secret boss without any pre-prepping, then finishing the last main quest for the area, i felt like i finally conquered the mountain and i it wasn't so bad for me anymore. I still have some things i gotta finish there, but once i do i'll still come back to farm and just enjoy the wonderful soundtrack by a warm campfire.
I love Dragonspine, i hope Snezhnaya is as beautiful and mysterious if not more so than the intimidating mountain.
after seeing the lore behind the cold in dragonspine, the first song especially gives you such a feel to the emotions people must’ve felt, hoping one day the sun would come again, that one day, the hero would return.

However,due to an incident,the Skyfrost Nail fell and hit the silver Ley Line below it and caused the area to be frozen with unnatural snow. The Hero Meat spoken of returned only to see his/her homeland corrupted with it. The hero then left his/her legacy within the area and never to be seen anymore
They got some really talented people on the sound team. This conveys the atmosphere of dragon spine so well. From the lofty mysterious peak to the ruins below. Such a brilliant arrangement.

i havent played for the full two years, but i started in early april 2021,,, the osts are already so nostalic. the last year feels like it didnt happen and im just taken back to the low ar times of exploring with my friends or doing random stuff in co-op. if i could start again, i wouldnt, because it was the right time with the right people.

@@GoldLink364 Because having to brave the cold before becoming resistant to it makes sense. Needing to conquer the challenge to get the treasure and growth is a classical theme found in all story-based media. It's makes the it more meaningful.
Although it is true, it would have made sense to call upon the other side of the coin: the "adventurers have to be prepared for their quest" theme which is also found in this game.
