There is an additional theory that the skyfrost pillar pierced the dragon/creature mid flight and let it to perish in this very place, due to the crater that's surrounding only leaving it's heart and music to play for his death. But, there is no evidence such as ancient markings on the pillar. There might be some evidence to what happened in this place somewhere, but I'm afraid we won't find anything about the dead creature for now. Maybe in future or there is already some kind of intel)

when i saw dragonspine my first thought was "i'm gonna climb this mountain" even though i was ar15 at the time. i ran away from all the enemies, and when my character died from sheer cold i switched and revived them while continuing my climb. instead of the regular route where you walk, i chose to climb straight up, helped escape from enemies and was faster. i remember seeing a seelie, it wasn't like the usual ones for it was red, and when i followed it it gave me warmth... i followed it all the way to its court and there i was able to take a break, heal my characters, take a moment to watch the view... when i contiued my journey to unlock this area, i saw it. the staue of the seven, not even 50 meters away. when i got there to touch it, hear the words "the world opens before it to those with noble hands", i stopped. the statue was blocked by weird rocks and i couldn't reach it. i tried to break it, but what could a team of lumine, amber, kaeya and lisa really do? overwhelmed with my crushing defeat, knowing that my efforts were in vain and that i spent so many eggs, steaks, and chicken skewers, i looked back at the mountain. smiling to myself and thanking it for the experience i jumped, gliding back to the camp at the foot of the mountains. i haven't stepped foot in that mountain since
@@tissuenoob true, i always have work the next day. So every session of gameplay, i've been under pressure doing the story and the quests. Even tho i was trying hard to read things slowly and savor the moment.
It's amazing how the music changes from place to place. In Mondstadt, it's all about acoustic guitars and mouth organs. Brings European vibes. Liyue is all about classic Chinese music with a twist of piano and makes me unusually nostalgic. And now Dragonspine music brings cold vibes. The piano sounds like ice and the feels are really different. Genshin Impact did an amazing job with their music composition. Yu-Peng Chen really deserves an award for his music composition. Hats off!
not to mention it actually sounds like ur in a cave or on a mysterious mountain, dragonspine is unexplored, so. some songs have the feeling of mysteriousness and unexplored areas, and others have the vibe of just looking at the beauty of dragonspine
They seriously did! Like dragonspine makes me feel physically cold and Liyue warm. Mondstat feels like home. The music alone is amazing. The music and visuals would hit super hard together if itcwere a movie but what I love the most about genshin is that you can experience everything yourself!
The moment when you climb the mountain without knowing you need to open the domain before climbing the mountain and dying to sheer cold as Paimon annoys you that it's too cold up there
Dragonspine just has a special feeling of solace. People know that in a few years, listening to Genshin soundtrack will be nostalgic. Probably a lot of people will think about the Liyue Battle Theme first, but the Dragonspine set is definitely just too special to neglect.
To me it already is nostalgic. I've been taking a break waiting for new regions, and whenever I hear monstads theme or dragonspine's theme, nostalgia and the urge to play hits lol

Dragonspine OST will for ever be nostalgic and bittersweet to me. My mom died of COVID during the 2nd week of the event. I can't stop crying every time I hear a tune from Dragonspine because it reminds me of the last days I used to be happy, and that is why I avoid visiting there; even if I still have chests to open.

me who spent a total of 17hours in Dragonspine to get 100%, I am unsure if it's short duration or long. That being said I definitely would love a compass since there's times the game do put some common chests randomly.

Indeed! There was that one song i'd play during windblume that makes me so nostalgic, hearing it during certain quests makes my heart swell and i can't remember the name at the moment. I absolutely love his work and am very excited to hear what else he has in store for our ears

Dragonspine might be a cursed area, that explains the fallen pillar at the top of the mountain (it’s similar to the ones we see when we open the game), and those are from celestia so maybe dragonspine was once a normal civilization that lived normally and was a part of mondstadt til it got cursed for some reason. Also if you have noticed the Chasm in liyue is still locked so i have the same theory, dragonspine got frozen so maybe the chasm will be a desert.
@@hafssa2770 It's literally confirmed that Dragonspine was cursed by Celestia, who were the ones who sent down the Skyfrost Nail (that big pillar) and turned Dragonspine from a normal climate into the harsh cold that killed everyone or drove them away.

When the pandemic is over, I’m traveling to Switzerland and I plan to hike to the mountains listening to this soundtrack. I’m going to camp at night and look at the stars while listening to Snow-Buried Tales and then listen to Fragile Fantasy while I watch the sunrise. Playing Genshin reinvigorated my love of traveling, and the money I’ll spend traveling will be well worth it.

Yeah dragonspine is basically Switzerland as monsadt is germany with a little vibe of italy from diluc winery France will have it's own kingdom Name Fontaine Some of the npc do say it ressemble monsadt but at the same time it is different
Yeah, as an example just look at genshin impact's senior that is honkai impact. The soundtrack is really really good(prefer honkai soundtrack more tho)
When I first reached Dragonspine, I tried to climb the mountain. At one point it was impossible to go further, mountain too high, the sheer cold building up fast, I stopped mid-way and looked around. The wind was howling, snowflakes swirling, you couldn't see anything past the snow. Everything was white and lifeless. The piano was strangely calm. I felt so lonely among the vast of nature. And I understood Albedo a bit more. Till this day it's my no.1 Genshin experience that no others can top, and I've had a bunch of spectacular moments along the way.
No, like, when I heard the OST, I thought, I’ve heard this. This a large part of my life and I don’t feel alone. I feel like it’s helped me, so much, and as much as I try to remember I can never understand where I got this feeling from. A beautiful animation? I.. don’t know.
Never understood the never going back to Dragonspine mentality. I find myself going back there regularly for mints, pinecones, crystalflies, Fatui medals, starsilver ore, etc... and I am AR55. This place still has some of my favorite atmosphere in the game. Every week I always do what I like to call the "Dragonspine Run" where I will follow one of three paths & completely loot the place.
Reminds me of the time in late December when I got covid and isolated myself alone for 14 days far from friends and families. So cold, so lonely. This game help me through it all at some point. Every time I hear the dragonspine soundtracks, I always track back to that time, and then the bittersweet memories linger...
It's Christmas eve now, and it is time for me to roam back to Dragonspine. Just chilling there, listen to the soundtrack while reminiscing about what happened last year. Recently new genshin player at AR27 and gotta say hearing 17:41 Unfinished Frescoes will never be the same like the first time I heard it when arriving in dragonspine, it was beyond a beautiful experience for my ears, flawless ost🥺
Unfinished Frescoes is definitely one of my favorites on here as well. Definitely gave me that desolate feeling as I was crawling and climbing my way upwards
Moonlike smile always reminds me of albedo, probably because it was playing during his last scene in his story quest. Makes me miss him even more (thankfully windblume finally shown him again)
Been playing this game since launch. Mondstadt and Liyue are nostalgic, sure, but Dragonspine's OST is just nostalgic to another level. Had a friend who no longer plays this game who would co-opwith me, in fact he got me into the game, and we were both so excited when this subregion dropped. Good times, in spite of the stresses associated with my first year of university and a global pandemic.

I really think mihoyo really outdid themselves with this track for dragonspine. You could sit down on a couch and listen to this for 25 minutes and not get bored, the amount of effort you guys put into every piece of the songs are outstanding and the tiniest details never get left out. Now im not going to lie to myself, Liyue and Mondstats tracks are beautiful in their own way and im not trying to throw them under the bus but this is on another level. I cant wait to see what yall do with izunama.
@@Lilyjem39 YES YES YES. I almost forgot about this comment but thank you for commenting on it. I still think the Dragonspine music is S+ but Inazuma blew me out of the water. When we first got off the ship I almost died it was too good for my ears. I think Inazuman music is really really good in the sense that it flows very nicely and there is a lot of complexity. The reason I liked Dragonspine so much was because of the love and care they put into the soft melodies. In Inazuma it's a different story. Yu Peng Chen went for a more brash and harsh style of music but it fits really well with the old era Japan feel. As always they used traditional instruments so it felt very authentic. What I thought was pretty interesting though is that even with the brash style dominating they had a lot of very calming songs like you were walking through a tall forest in the dead of night. The first 10 tracks were very chill with traditional elements and pianos. And one last thing, it was very bouncy this time. I don't know if you understand what I mean but the violins felt very bump, bump, bump up and down. All in all, 10/10 soundtrack. Very good mix of harsh and soft and a very nice flow of the tracks. What about you? I might have to come back to this post every new update.
May have to reword some things. It's not that the music felt brash it's more that they used very sharp sounding instruments if you know what I mean. Overall it's very melancholy and sweeping
I’m missing albedo now :( Though the lore behind this one mountain is really dark, the music fits it perfectly. It’s calming but hits a bit of darkness into it.
As a piano stundent, I can only say that this OST is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. This composition has an insane level of sensibility that touched my heart, I am currently performing "Moonlight Smile" And I can feel the frozen winds of Dragon Spine.

dragonspine is honestly such a great region and the music is so good. it keeps the thrill of playing the game with the sheer cold and bigger enemies but is still super calming because the scenery is so beautiful. 10/10 mihoyo
I started playing genshin right when dragonspine released and Albedo’s story quest was on. It was one of the first things I did, even before finishing storm terror. It was winter break, it was snowing outside and I was wearing comfy Pajamas. The perfect wintery atmosphere. Although I hated it when I was there, looking back on it now, it’s nostalgic, hearing the Ost especially “ Unfinished Frescoes” and “ Un-Coloured memories” really gives me a mystical winter wonderland feel and brings me back to when I first started the game. I didn’t even realize how valuable my festering desire is lol. Good times.

Fragile Fantasy is my absolute favourite theme from Dragonspine. I’ll stand around in the mountains waiting for it to replay, and hum along to it every damn time. It has a gorgeous winter/holiday season vibe that I fell in love with first time hearing it
You don't know much I love this ost! It basically saved me when I was at my lowest. The atmosphere is so cold, yet it feels so warm inside. Snow-Buried Tales is personally my favorite
dragonspine has been my favorite place in teyvat so far. i hate the sheer cold and the many enemies but it just feels so calm. mondstadt feels comfy and liyue feels lively but dragonspine just feels like the right place to be. i dont know if its the lack of npcs, the soundtrack or my albedo kinnie senses kicking in but i love it so much. i still have ptsd from me being ar 18 and trying to climb the mountain but i still love it. i do hope we get some events there soon tho ALSO THE MINT THERE IS SO PRETTY????

when i saw dragonspine my first thought was "i'm gonna climb this mountain" even though i was ar15 at the time. i ran away from all the enemies, and when my character died from sheer cold i switched and revived them while continuing my climb. instead of the regular route where you walk, i chose to climb straight up, helped escape from enemies and was faster. i remember seeing a seelie, it wasn't like the usual ones for it was red, and when i followed it it gave me warmth... i followed it all the way to its court and there i was able to take a break, heal my characters, take a moment to watch the view... when i contiued my journey to unlock this area, i saw it. the staue of the seven, not even 50 meters away. when i got there to touch it, hear the words "the world opens before it to those with noble hands", i stopped. the statue was blocked by weird rocks and i couldn't reach it. i tried to break it, but what could a team of lumine, amber, kaeya and lisa really do? overwhelmed with my crushing defeat, knowing that my efforts were in vain and that i spent so many eggs, steaks, and chicken skewers, i looked back at the mountain. smiling to myself and thanking it for the experience i jumped, gliding back to the camp at the foot of the mountains. i haven't stepped foot in that mountain since

It's amazing how the music changes from place to place. In Mondstadt, it's all about acoustic guitars and mouth organs. Brings European vibes. Liyue is all about classic Chinese music with a twist of piano and makes me unusually nostalgic. And now Dragonspine music brings cold vibes. The piano sounds like ice and the feels are really different. Genshin Impact did an amazing job with their music composition. Yu-Peng Chen really deserves an award for his music composition. Hats off!
not to mention it actually sounds like ur in a cave or on a mysterious mountain, dragonspine is unexplored, so. some songs have the feeling of mysteriousness and unexplored areas, and others have the vibe of just looking at the beauty of dragonspine

Dragonspine just has a special feeling of solace. People know that in a few years, listening to Genshin soundtrack will be nostalgic. Probably a lot of people will think about the Liyue Battle Theme first, but the Dragonspine set is definitely just too special to neglect.

I can't stop crying every time I hear a tune from Dragonspine because it reminds me of the last days I used to be happy, and that is why I avoid visiting there; even if I still have chests to open.

Dragonspine might be a cursed area, that explains the fallen pillar at the top of the mountain (it’s similar to the ones we see when we open the game), and those are from celestia so maybe dragonspine was once a normal civilization that lived normally and was a part of mondstadt til it got cursed for some reason. Also if you have noticed the Chasm in liyue is still locked so i have the same theory, dragonspine got frozen so maybe the chasm will be a desert.
@@hafssa2770 It's literally confirmed that Dragonspine was cursed by Celestia, who were the ones who sent down the Skyfrost Nail (that big pillar) and turned Dragonspine from a normal climate into the harsh cold that killed everyone or drove them away.

Yeah, as an example just look at genshin impact's senior that is honkai impact. The soundtrack is really really good(prefer honkai soundtrack more tho)
When I first reached Dragonspine, I tried to climb the mountain.
At one point it was impossible to go further, mountain too high, the sheer cold building up fast, I stopped mid-way and looked around. The wind was howling, snowflakes swirling, you couldn't see anything past the snow. Everything was white and lifeless. The piano was strangely calm. I felt so lonely among the vast of nature. And I understood Albedo a bit more.
Till this day it's my no.1 Genshin experience that no others can top, and I've had a bunch of spectacular moments along the way.
For me, I spent two months in dragon spine to listen to the music, its engraved in my mind now, and I love it.

Been playing this game since launch. Mondstadt and Liyue are nostalgic, sure, but Dragonspine's OST is just nostalgic to another level. Had a friend who no longer plays this game who would co-opwith me, in fact he got me into the game, and we were both so excited when this subregion dropped. Good times, in spite of the stresses associated with my first year of university and a global pandemic.
Dragonspine was the best Christmas present at the time of Covid. I would spend dozens of hours just roaming around and basking in the falling snow.

I really think mihoyo really outdid themselves with this track for dragonspine. You could sit down on a couch and listen to this for 25 minutes and not get bored, the amount of effort you guys put into every piece of the songs are outstanding and the tiniest details never get left out. Now im not going to lie to myself, Liyue and Mondstats tracks are beautiful in their own way and im not trying to throw them under the bus but this is on another level. I cant wait to see what yall do with izunama.

@@Lilyjem39 YES YES YES. I almost forgot about this comment but thank you for commenting on it. I still think the Dragonspine music is S+ but Inazuma blew me out of the water. When we first got off the ship I almost died it was too good for my ears. I think Inazuman music is really really good in the sense that it flows very nicely and there is a lot of complexity. The reason I liked Dragonspine so much was because of the love and care they put into the soft melodies. In Inazuma it's a different story. Yu Peng Chen went for a more brash and harsh style of music but it fits really well with the old era Japan feel. As always they used traditional instruments so it felt very authentic. What I thought was pretty interesting though is that even with the brash style dominating they had a lot of very calming songs like you were walking through a tall forest in the dead of night. The first 10 tracks were very chill with traditional elements and pianos. And one last thing, it was very bouncy this time. I don't know if you understand what I mean but the violins felt very bump, bump, bump up and down. All in all, 10/10 soundtrack. Very good mix of harsh and soft and a very nice flow of the tracks. What about you? I might have to come back to this post every new update.
May have to reword some things. It's not that the music felt brash it's more that they used very sharp sounding instruments if you know what I mean. Overall it's very melancholy and sweeping

Though the lore behind this one mountain is really dark, the music fits it perfectly. It’s calming but hits a bit of darkness into it.

As a piano stundent, I can only say that this OST is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. This composition has an insane level of sensibility that touched my heart, I am currently performing "Moonlight Smile" And I can feel the frozen winds of Dragon Spine.

I started playing genshin right when dragonspine released and Albedo’s story quest was on. It was one of the first things I did, even before finishing storm terror. It was winter break, it was snowing outside and I was wearing comfy Pajamas. The perfect wintery atmosphere. Although I hated it when I was there, looking back on it now, it’s nostalgic, hearing the Ost especially “ Unfinished Frescoes” and “ Un-Coloured memories” really gives me a mystical winter wonderland feel and brings me back to when I first started the game. I didn’t even realize how valuable my festering desire is lol. Good times.

Why do I get waves of sadness and thoughts of "what was once long ago..." a simpler time of past memories all too quickly to fade out. Dragonspine makes me cry everytime I hear it's tracks.

And I find it weird this feeling wasn't there when I was exploring Inazuma, and still hasn't kicked in. Maybe a bit with the last island, but not as much as with Dragonspine.
Fragile Fantasy is my absolute favourite theme from Dragonspine. I’ll stand around in the mountains waiting for it to replay, and hum along to it every damn time. It has a gorgeous winter/holiday season vibe that I fell in love with first time hearing it

You don't know much I love this ost! It basically saved me when I was at my lowest. The atmosphere is so cold, yet it feels so warm inside. Snow-Buried Tales is personally my favorite

i love the low dissonant notes from around 0:36 to 1:00 it feels like there's something huge moving underground
dragonspine has been my favorite place in teyvat so far. i hate the sheer cold and the many enemies but it just feels so calm. mondstadt feels comfy and liyue feels lively but dragonspine just feels like the right place to be. i dont know if its the lack of npcs, the soundtrack or my albedo kinnie senses kicking in but i love it so much. i still have ptsd from me being ar 18 and trying to climb the mountain but i still love it. i do hope we get some events there soon tho ALSO THE MINT THERE IS SO PRETTY????
