Because of PTX I discovered "Coventry Carol" It's not famous here in Germany but it's hauntingly beautiful (their version with Avi leading) It's a sad one but I love the melody.
My favorite PTX Christmas songs are Carol of the Bells, O Come All Ye Faithful (African beat), Joy to the World, Mary Did You Know and Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (yes, a song with no lyrics sung with no instruments = Grammy!) I also LOVE “Here With Us” by Joy Williams.
Pentatonix performs a number of Christmas songs in very special ways, but I have four songs (all expressly Christmas songs, not repurposed pop tunes) that are especially beautiful when done by them. Two of them have official videos--"Mary Did You Know" and "Carol of the Bells". I'll not dwell on them because they will be requested by many people. The two without videos are often overlooked, which is sad, because both are wonderful sings evoking entirely different moods, both featuring Avi. "Coventry Carol" was mentioned by another commenter, and the harmonies between Mitch and Avi, and Scott and Avi are gorgeous. The other song is "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year", in which Avi's warm baritone singing voice is so soothing, and the arrangement sounds like something that your grandparents might have listened to in 1963 (in the best possible way). I would highly recommend that you react to the latter two, as they need some well-deserved love from someone with a musical background.
Another good one on top of those that have been recommended, would be White Christmas! They actually had a feature of The Manhattan Transfer on it. It is a little bit of an older song from Pentatonix. Having come out 4-5 years ago, when they still had their original Bass singer, Avi.
You're reactionary always amazing. One of my very favorite Christmas songs is You're a mean one Mr Grinch by PTX. Matt on lead and a very fun video. Stay safe!
Definitely That’s Christmas To Me by Pentatonix. my feel good christmas song. would be awesome to see a reaction on that, also good work that you are doin jacob.
I am LOVING your reactions. I really love how you observe all these technicalities and all the work that goes into these things. It's really fascinating. You would really love their original song "Love Again". Check it out! As for Christmas songs, react to their version of " Carol of the Bells" or "Dance of the Sugerplum fairy"? They are both masterpieces.
Oh yeah, they LOVE key changes. They even did three key changes in the song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" (Lion King). They were laughing about it in the "behind the scenes" video where they were arranging the piece and saying "yeah! let's do another key change here!" video: th-cam.com/video/cT1Kzk7akjQ/w-d-xo.html behind the scenes: th-cam.com/video/Xpik-DUzWlw/w-d-xo.html
Modulations are what PTX does best! Have you reacted to their version of Can You Feel the Love Tonight? Those modulations are epic! I know you’re making playlists but not all you PTX vids are there yet! You caught a lot! Kevin shines in Cheerleader too!
This is awesome like always! Thought I’d recommend Bad Bunny - Maldita Pobreza. It’s a Spanish song but mannn the different styles of sounds in just one song is insane!! Please react to it. More interested in what you thing of it in terms of instrumental. Thanks!
What's your favorite Christmas song??

In general, O Holy Night. Both Josh Groban and Leslie Odom Jr. have beautiful versions of this song.

Please react to someof Kevin's solo videos. Kevin Olusola (KOvers), I recommend Marin Hill "Down" and Harry Styles "Sign of the Times"
