YES! This is what my SmartDrive has been missing. The inability to easily change speed was the worst thing about the updated SmartDrive/watch system. 🙌
The blue light is not blinking I just got my wheelchair today the technician was new didn't know what he was doing I do not need to use the watch to use the speed controller I have to call them back I've done everything in your demonstration it's simple enough and the blue light is not blinking and it's not moving the wheelchair at all Thank you for your video.
It sounds to me like the drive may not be charged all the way? I guess I don’t know what light is not coming on the handheld light on the control or the light on the black drive? Is the lights on the drive not coming on it’s a charge issue. If the handheld light button roller or whatever you have for speed control is not lighting up, you have a wiring issue or a plug issue. Sometimes the wires can get pulled from sitting on them or maybe caught in a wheel if you have any kind of damage to your wire or your plug it needs to be replaced because the wires are probably pulled loose. It happened to me right before I went to the Philippines. I am still waiting for my replacement wire From February. All the way from February it’s ridiculous. This is my opinion I would rather go with the roller like in the video because the button is not convenient. You can’t carry anything holding onto a button and that’s what I have. I wanted the roller but for some reason I got the button. This thing sucks. I really hope I can get a roller in the future but it takes two years to get anything from my medical provider. I don’t know what the problem is. They say it’s the company all the time so I don’t know what’s wrong with the company and getting things done.
Thank you. This video is so useful. I have my second wheelchair OT appointment in a few weeks for my first chair. I''ll be test driving a couple of chairs and a couple of power assist options. I can't only have a wearable to control my power assist because I have MCAS (autoimmune) that when I have a flare up I can't wear things on my wrist, (yes, it's complicated!). There's not as many videos on SpeedControl Dial as there are for watch/Apple Watch users. Having the primary option be a larger on chair control dial with the option to later use the Apple Watch app (when I get a watch) is great.
Could you please tell me the name of chair you showed initially with the smartdrive, and also the name and kind of chair that you are in? Your time and courtesy are both greatly appreciated.
@pushmobility is there a way I can change the default speed myself? I think the person didn’t set it up correctly. It really only moves if I push constantly with my arms. It is so hard for me. It definately does not do what yours does.
Have they made a smaller speed controller? This gets in the way while transferring into a car or anywhere else. Dont need it so bulky. Need to update your video by adding the fact you have to update the software on the smartdrive.

I was put off buyijng the MX2 because of the bluetooth connection - I've had too many instances where a connection has been "flakey". This little unit would appear to get over that problem but, as I say, not for MX1 users.
Do you have to still wear the watch? I have lost faith in it completely and have been offered the Speed control dial. Also what are the difference between switch control and speed control dial?

$600 for a rotation sensor, that has less technology, parts & is less complex than $5 computer mouse? SmartDrive sounds fun and useful, and it is when it works properly. but other times, when it doesn't, it can be dangerous. 1 times I crashed into building pillar because the device didn't respond to the stop signal. Another time, almost killed me. When I tried to stop on the road crossing, instead it speed up. luckily the cars hit their brakes hard and I just zoomed across 4 car lane during 6PM traffic. For those, who read my comment and thought "maybe he has no experience or user error." I have 6 years experience and I have used MX1 and 2 both. Now for safety, I only use this product for going uphill and on grass.

The speed dial is so cheap and finiky that mine broke not even two weeks of ownership of my smartdrive system. I wish Permobile or Max Mobility can make a higher quality controler that doesn't break in two weeks. Isik from tech support is not the nicest person either... I love the motor, but the service and units are off to a terrible start....

This is for quadriplegics that can’t move at all. Speeds are not fast enough to get around able bodied humans. Many upgrades needed. Unless the provider didn’t show me everything about the drive. He basically told me what this guy said and left. A person needs at the least an hour of training on this device. Don’t buy one people, if you want speed and usability. It turns off every crack it hits on walkways and sidewalsk
I just got my smartdrive and have this problem they are managing to fit is as the default is very slow if you ask the provider to change it to unlimited speed then it works so much better
@@jadenr.j so there's a setting that you can change to optional or unlimited mine is unlimited and it hella fast noe but before it was not even walking speed because the provider forgot to ask me what setting I want
