Another aspect they fixed recently is the 4 meteors attack which now deals the same damage it used to pre-patch, BUT, only one meteor can land so no more oneshots cuz one landed and chained the others. EDIT: After some testing I think the main change was that the explosion after each meteor was changed to not hit you if the meteor itself hits you, that way you get the damage from a singular meteor hitting you but the explosion damage isn't likely to take you down to 0 HP nor is it gonna keep you stunned until the second meteor hits, allowing you to dodge after it if it hits.

5:55 No joke this part of the fight actually almost broke my headphones when connected to the controller so the ringing is accurate. A loud crackling persisted throughout the fight after the loud BOOM, but luckily it was the cable and not the headphones. Yes, in other words Radahn got so pissed at my antics he almost broke my headphones.
Y'know, Alexander really beat himself up over not being able to help much in this fight. However, with him and my big horn combined, we staggered the hell out Radahn and destroyed the guy. Alex didn't really even take damage before the fight was done, was a bit confusing when he was talking about how he was shattered so easily and all that junk.
Yeah, especially since he was a phantom in that fight, and phantoms don’t take physical damage to their body, when I first heard him after the fight, I was like “bro what the fuck are you talking about? you weren’t even technically there.”
Since he can only be summoned 3 times, I imagine he tried fighting Radahn alone before you got there, wasting his summons in the process. I think he is damaged when you summon him, if you look under his arms.
Patches got hit by one of the barrage arrows when he spawned in when I first fought Radahn, and I guess it aggroed him. He definitely fought, but when he died there wasn't a prompt and I couldn't resummon him.
I wonder if it is possible to get Radahn to extremely low health and then summon patches when Radahn is near Patches’ sign so patches can finish the job in the very little time he stays.

Beat Radahn in all 3 editions, took me like 20 something tries first time before I figured out the horse has insane projectile tracking (always died to meteors). Almost every Souls boss I've ever fought takes me like 6 tries maximum before I beat them, even beat Malenia in 2 tries (thanks Jar Cannon knockback), so seeing them reduce his range + ridiculous damage was great... only for them to revert the damage, the bastards.
I'm glad you're back to giving us extremely useful information, maybe you can teach the tarnished some strategies to fight me. I think they need the help

This is actually just how I did this fight, after I saw the various summon signs I thought it was the mechanic that you were supposed to be utilising in order to win (like having to lure certain enemies into the light in certain tombs for example). So all I did other than repeatedly zip from summon to summon in order to replenish my army of gigachads was pepper away at the dude with bleed arrows, which were also remarkably effective. Like I was surprised that you were able to bleed him at all, let alone how effective it was.
I remember my fight with Radahn. Should've watched this video before doing it. I cheesed it with rotten breath but this video is handy. I was shocked how limited amounts the summon happens.
On my subsequent playthroughs I've been killing Radahn very early on every character by using a shortbow with rot arrows and spamming summons. With the handicap of Radahn having rot for the whole fight, which is really easy to do, he doesn't stand a chance against them.
I was sure there would be a way for summons to win, because when I fought him my controller disconnected at one point and the summons managed to nearly get him before I got it back working.
Radahn rapes my framerate for some reason. Back in launch Radahn I beat him by poking him with an Antsur's Rapier until scarlet rot + shooting him with serpent arrows then running to the other side of the map.
I gotta admit 5:30 is some of your best work. The combination of me getting roasted, the badum tss, and the slowed oof in the background at the very end was a religious experience.
I had a lot of fun trying to do this last month with my Paladin build, just spamming heals and Golden Vow and Blessing of the Erdtree on all my buddy npcs, but as they have way more hp than the player, maybe 3x, it's sort of futile to heal them. In the end I realised it was just way more efficient for me to be attacking Radahn.

The Radahn Festival is a brilliant, beautiful combination of a new premise for From titles and a spectacular execution. Thank you for making this in-depth video on it, and it's fascinating to see that release date Radahn was perhaps scaled to ensure that the player *had* to participate to win. I find all versions of Radahn fair and exhilarating to fight, so I really love that particular detail. Should have used Radahn's theme over Vordt's though.
I started the game around a month ago and I did it mostly blind and I didn't know you could summon for this boss so I beat him just like that. Wow watching this video really gave me a surprise
Can the summons solo Radahn? Of course not, because the moment you summon more than one NPC they are part of a group, and therefore no longer soloing Radahn.

See, that is a nerf that actually seems justified given that it likely wasn’t intended in the first place.
BTW his meteors only fire if Radahn gallops away and screams. When he does that he fires the meteors and then does his charge.

@@xaga8794 This video wasn't useless though. Sleep is more worthless than the summons in this fight. It barely does anything in the entire game. They have made functioning miracle builds and health regeneration builds which arent useless in the slightest.

i beat radahnn pre-patch with summons doing all the work. i honestly assumed 75% of people did this. guess i got lucky

The Radahn Festival is a brilliant, beautiful combination of a new premise for From titles and a spectacular execution. Thank you for making this in-depth video on it, and it's fascinating to see that release date Radahn was perhaps scaled to ensure that the player *had* to participate to win. I find all versions of Radahn fair and exhilarating to fight, so I really love that particular detail. Should have used Radahn's theme over Vordt's though.

I started the game around a month ago and I did it mostly blind and I didn't know you could summon for this boss so I beat him just like that. Wow watching this video really gave me a surprise
Jerren can be summoned in phase 1, His sign down the dune to the left of Radhan. I think this let's the player have all 7 summons at once.

Can the summons solo Radahn? Of course not, because the moment you summon more than one NPC they are part of a group, and therefore no longer soloing Radahn.
Summons are a collective entity.
