      Okay, here's the list of o'rings that I have used several times in my .177 & in my .22 Chasers,... I have looked into different materials but I think the basic black Buna or Nitrile o'rings are probably best.
      I will list the "cross section" (CS) first which is the thickness of the o'ring & then OD x ID.
      First will be the all important CO2 seal which is a custom seal but I have tried many sizes with varying success,... Even tried a flat round rubber washer but it didn't last long. I tried up to 3mm cross section to get a bigger seal area on the CO2 powerlet but then the probe to puncture the powerlet doesn't reach to pierce a hole,... 2mm to 2.5mm works but I have so far used 78 powerlets on one 2mm o'ring & it still works fine & you don't need to crank down very hard on the end cap :)
      CO2 seal (under the threaded ring): 2mm CS - 9mm x 5mm (or 2.5mm CS - 9mm x 4mm but it is harder to puncture the powerlet)
      .177 bolt seal (in end of barrel): 1.5mm CS - 8mm x 5mm
      .22 bolt seal (in end of barrel): 1.5mm CS - 9mm x 6mm
      Barrel Port seals (2) 1mm CS - 9mm x 7mm (tight fit)
      Brass Port seals (2) 2mm CS - 10mm x 6mm
      Inner cylinder seal (behind the CO2 inlet/puncture probe) 2mm CS - 8mm x 4mm
      Cylinder seal (behind the threads to seal the 2 halves of the cylinder): 2mm CS - 14mm x 10mm This works fine but it is small & is stretched thin to fit so after taking measurements I would like to try 1.5mm CS - 16mm x 13mm because it needs to be thin.
      Let me know what you think, Cheers.

    Fantastic video! I am brand new to these but whatever I am getting into I need to find the real deep dive how to videos about the topic, by the experts. I'm going to be a big Diana enthusiast, I know it. Right off the bat when I realized what these were and saw the price, design and build quality, I ordered 2 Chaser Pistol/Rifle kits. This is pretty much the most/best pellet gun for the money, from what I am seeing. It will fit right in with my 2240 and P1322 and similar Crosmans and my handful of other very simple, but high performance and well engineered air guns and less lethal launchers. I will contribute back knowledge and videos for sure. (I also like Gamo Spring Magnums, Hatsan 125 Springs .25s, First Strike FSCs and Pepperball VKS in .68 cal (riot balls.) Now I am also a Diana guy. Thanks man for giving me my first in-depth lesson!

    Thanks for the valuable Chaser complete teardown and assembly info.
    There's probably 10k Seneca Aspens out there needing a video on fixing the integrated 3 stage pump, and modifying it to last reasonably. Somebody said the inner tube doesn't get lubed, so the Orings can't slide.

    • @maxhauler
      @maxhauler 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sometimes I take a new air gun or less lethal launcher apart and clean and lube and debur and do other things to it, before even firing it once. In most cases the lubrication is not nearly as good as one can do with a careful prep. Certainly some things get put together on the assembly line with insufficient lube and other things, especially those that are internal and hard to validate via QA. Not saying Diana is not top quality .. just saying in general. Often we can use different types of lube in different places, often more than the factory, but I know of one example where you want less than what the factory does. So it is a great idea to do the research and not use an air gun etc too much before doing a teardown and full break in RE-lubrication. And other little mods, deburring, maybe a little polishing or focused break-in of mating surfaces can be done. The best part is you get to know the gun and start to become one with it, in a sense. Develop that muscle memory etc.

    This would be a okay gun if it didn't have the peep hole and trigger housing welded on this makes it almost impossible to make it hpa you can get parts but you have to no what other air guns use the same parts hint for similar parts. A compeny with a x in the name. dawn china. Hint A air gun company shaped like this🔼 air can you can get most of the parts. If you really need them. Unfortunately if you want a hpa chaser carbine with power a dana storm rider taken out of stock with the chaser grip would be the easiest way to make a real hpa carbine powerful. 💯👍👌✌️

    • @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007
      @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I wish that trigger frame/housing wasn't welded on. I have exchanged emails with Snow Peak and they told me to get a hold of Pyramyd Air for parts. Which as you probably know they do not offer much. So I am relying on Bagnall & Kirkwood for parts. I did convert a 22 rifle kit to HPA and it is a little ripper! Lol Really accurate and fun to shoot. I would still like to get my hands on a Stormrider. I will at some point. Hey I also saw that you commented on my Armada video and the P17 video. When I click on them TH-cam won't let me see them. This has been happening a lot lately. I just happened to catch yours but I wonder how many I am not seeing at all. Shot anyways at home, so from power nice for home shooting :D

    • @senatorjosephmccarthy2720
      @senatorjosephmccarthy2720 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is it going with the bolt replacement? If mine breaks, I'll use a socket head bolt, stronger. But then the pressure is transferred to the bolt threads, and there isn't too much material around those.

    • @toddwmac
      @toddwmac 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@senatorjosephmccarthy2720 Well, I decided not to try to tear into it and instead I JB welded the old bolt handle directly to the back of the bolt so it runs inline with the bolt. Believe it or not, it almost looks like it was built that way from the start, and so far it works great. I just need to remember to always twist the bolt to ensure it is locked in the carrier (or what ever it might be called) Happy 4th!

    • @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007
      @bigjsoutdoorsairguns9007  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes there is. I think it is actually a Delrin washer if I remember correctly. You can replace it with an oring and it should work fine. It won't last as long as the washer but orings are cheap so just swap it out once in awhile. It is in the end of the valve. There is a small brass collar that threads into the valve that keeps the washer in place. It usually turns out pretty easily.

      Hey there, sorry for the late response
      I just saw this. It may need to be replaced but you could try dropping a dime on top of the capsule. It will take up a little space and help with piercing. You might be able to get that part from Bagnall & Kirkwood. They are out of England and they carry a few parts for the CP2 & Chaser which are the same gun. I apologize again for the late response.

      I think I showed in this video how I cock them but I can't remember for sure. I wrap my index finger around the bolt handle as close to the breech as I can & then place my thumb on the back of the gun and cock it that way. I have been shooting them for years now and have never broken a handle. I do think there are some replacement bolts that look a little nicer if a guy wanted to go that way.

    Question; The Bandit bolt is different than the chaser bolt. And I could not get the Bandit bolt to close when I exchanged my long Chaser barrel.
    Looks like the end of the Chaser bolt has a reduced dia. Near the forward end and the Bandit bolt does not. Any experience with this?

      Hey there, on the top of the breech towards rear under the rear sight is a very small set screw. Under that set screw is a tiny rubber ball that keeps the bolt from jumping to much. That little ball can wear and may have gotten stuck between the bolt and the breech. You will have to disassemble the the gun to get to it. That's the only thing I can think of right now.
