His role helped add spice to the movie. Rico is the definition of what a shameless hater looks like

My sentiments exactly 💯 😂😂😂😂
Its true..."I don't like that ish...I dont like that ish"🤣 me and the homies always quote that line
He really didn't "Like that shit". That was the role he wanted. Maybe that's why it was so good. He really meant it.
He's lucky he didn't get stuck with the role of disgruntled crew member on the couch😆
@@seewhativescene You talking about Black😂 U going get yours B😂😂
He probably didn't even know the cameras were rolling, he was just venting lol

Gotta feeling Hype Williams did that move on purpose
His role was different. It hit everyone by surprise. Classic movie that aged well over the years 💯
I heard he lost the role of Big Perm in Friday that went into his method acting for Belly😆
and became one hell of a meme.
His part was SO iconic. Whenever I talk about belly with someone, we go STRAIGHt to that scene lol
Hell yeah because that's really how the streets are in real life he just let us know as the audience focus on that's what's really going but it really made a big contribution to the movie I'll never forget that scene so actually it work for 👀 🧐🤣🤣🤣 I'ma drop a dime on em

The crazy part is that his part is one of most iconic parts that has been added to so many other music videos and movies and just his line alone , was iconic.
"I don't like that sh*t. I don't like that sh*t."
He did TERRIBLE job sabotaging the movie. 😂😂😂
He was probably paid under the table for Hype Williams hype to brush off the criticism with propaganda

A testament to Hype Williams directorial and editorial prowess! He knew what he was working wit! Word!

Or just life imitating art.

How he felt on the inside made the part and role that much more believable. It’s was authentic and that’s why homie a great actor. Very under appreciated and under rated. Give Turner his flowers

He's a terrible actor

Only a director can pull this energy out of a character Hype Williams knew he would have that hatred in him after taking that role from him
some real Stanley Kubric type director move haha, make it real
His character in the movie was memorable and that character was good at what he added to the movie.🤓
He saw how good X was doing n was in his trailer like
“I dont like that shit” (eats banana)
“I dont like that shit”
Gotta sabotage this movie

Yep in the best way possible
No wonder he stood out so much. I always thought he was over acting or playing a caricature.
That banana scene wil FOREVER be hilarious and iconic 😂

I always thought his goofy demeanor made him seem much more sinister. Like how could a dude like that even survive in the hood. Had to be a monster. He is iconic as Caine in menace to society also. You can't sleep on that character.

Opening scene the best
This is sooo hilarious. That was my boy! That hair, them glasses. That dam banana lmao 😂😂
*R.I.P X !!!*
That scene with the guy eating the banana is the most uncomfortable scene I've ever witnessed.
I always thought that part seemed like it didn’t match with the movie but it was memorable
Classic! It worked out the way it was supposed to, because Rico was a classic character that no one else would of been able to nail.
Tyrin was hatin' for real den, huh?
That was actually one of my favorite parts of the movie thanks bro keep sabotaging these movies and we'll just keep enjoying them.
THE WHOLE MOVIE IS ONE GREAT SCENE PERIOD I SAW THIS IN THE THEATER THE DAY IT CAME OUT I WAS 17 AND SO HYPED THIS WAS MY FAVORITE TIME IN THE HIPHOP SCENE
The banana the hair the hater lines. Rico was an iconic hater lol.
First off I didn't even know that was him. Little did he know he sabotaged that movie into a classic. You will remember that character for the rest of your life. He made the whole world know what a hater looks like. He played that role brilliantly. Things went ust opposite of what he described.
That's dope!! Accidental gr8ness...😂😂😂
He ended up being one of the most memorable roles in the entire movie..it had to piss him off that he made such a great character 😂
That dude’s look was iconic! I’m glad he was heated. Made for a memorable, much talked about role in one of the greatest films for the culture..”Belly”…🤗💕💯
Glad he did he made better doing that to his character in Belly
I didn't recognize Turner till five years after this came out. A great disguise.
Come on Tyrin! How was the "sabotage" supposed to work? If Hype didn't like what you did, he would cut your scene out of the movie and reshoot! 🤣
I understand. he made the character "corny" but it actually made the character memorable to this day!
Before Instagram and Facebook, each city had its own styles and customs. Tyrin having a perm and shit for a midwest dude (whether they looked like that or not) seemed so real it was great.
Belly was the most beautifully shot bad movie, I loved it
Your comment longer than the script 😆
Lol @ most beautifully shot bad movie 😂😂😂 That’s exactly the right way to describe it
@@angieb5720 LMAO Thank you.
HYpe Williams visuals were amazing back in the day. You could put Belly on any tv in a bar or club without sound and watch.
That said, some of the dialogue is 😅
Most memorable part of the movie PERIOD
My favorite scene is when nas to the young kid and give him the chain
That scene was inspired directly and even some of the dialogue was taken from the last verse of Nas song One Love.
When you’re such a good actor that even when you try to mess up, it still comes out iconic 😂🤣😂
he actually crushed his role as a hater, i always thought it was classic as hilarious especially when he said, "i don't like that shit, i don't like that shit" 😭
Tyron Turner had one of the most iconic roles in the movie Belly!!
That’s how you know he’s talented.. he tried to mess up and still made the character iconic..
Danggg!!! That backfired because that southern cat was hella dope! 😂😂🤣🤣
I always wondered why they went in that direction for that character! The director wouldn’t have let him do it if he didn’t approve though.

Great story. He was the most memorable character to me, down right hilarious
You know a joke/caricature is great when people don't get offended... Here, down south, that movie and that part get hella love... why? cuz them type of corny bumpkins running around here to this day, and the only thing they contribute to our communities is bodies and cops presense... Even though he wanted to F- the movie up he ended up adding flavor!!! And besides as he said he was young at the time, when your young you are allowed some stupid -ish.
His part his a classic scene in the movie! Me & my friends say his lines all the time when we see something we don’t like 😂😂😂😂
He was not Tommy Buns. DMX owned that role. The same way Ryan O'neil was not Michael Corleone. Pacino owned that role. Casting is an art. A very important art at that as far as filmmaking is concerned.
His part is small but a rememberable one. I remember i went to a costume party and two people was dressed like him😂😂😂😂classic!!!
