Awesome! This is a great short hike with two waterfalls. Just down the road are two more waterfalls that you can access within one day. Helton Creek Falls and Vogel State Park. New video will be out on Sunday. Cheers
Thanks my friend! This place always brings back a lot of memories for me as I have been going here since my teens. It was my Father's first time to this place and we went to Helton Creek, Vogel and Brasstown Bald all in one day. Good times!
Thank you for watching and the kind words! This area has a lot of waterfalls in a condensed area so we were able to go to Helton Creek Falls, Vogel State Park and Brasstown Bald all in one day. Stay tuned for more videos to be released. New videos every Sunday! Cheers
The scenery on that trail is absolutely stunning! Thanks for the upload thus providing the ability to see such beauty. Makes me think I should post another hiking video soon..... We will just have to see what happens, a lot going on in personal life right now, keeping up with regular uploads as much as I can. Hope the day goes well for you man! I look forward to the next upload, Ill check it out Monday or Tuesday if I have the time cuz I do a heavy work grind on weekends. Stay safe out there g! Much love!
D.A.M thanks my friend for watching and your kind words! Completely understand about the regular upload schedule. It gets tough with everything going on. Just released part 2 - Helton Creek Falls. Have fun on the trail and stay tuned for part 3 next Sunday! Cheers
Already looks like a beautiful spot! Love the trail - sometimes you want an easy, peaceful walk in the woods. Very pretty falls. What a stunning paradise!!
TerryX2Explore It was my dads first time here and he enjoyed it. We have hiked several miles on the AT together and he enjoyed the easy terrain. This was for his 70th birthday and we hit up several places that day.
We've been there several times and camped there as well. We were there at the end of March but they had the entrance gate locked and the facility was closed. I noticed on the web-page that they have doubled their fees for camping this year and require a reservation to secure a site now .... probably to capture those additional reservation funds :-) It's about 45 minutes from our house so we'll be back as soon as it cools down a bit :-)
Agreed! It is super hot our there right now. By 9:30 or so, the temps had risen to the high 80's. Thanks for the info on the camping rates. You can always jump on the AT down the street and camp on trail, but as you said it needs to cool down a bit. Camping in the heat of summer can be miserable. Thanks for watching!
@@MetroOnTheMove We camp out of a truck camper so camping "off the trail" isn't an option for us :-) We have one of the "Senior Access Passes" so even though they raised the overnight camping fee to $20, the 50% discount keeps it reasonable.
Look forward to sharing this video with all of you. This video is part of a 3 part series where I take my father to several waterfalls in one area near Blood Mountain & Vogel State Park. His reactions are priceless!
