Awesome, the great thing about other neon glass artists is that they always have new ideas and glass working creativity that you don't...very inspiring...
In neon making you can use chalk, a wax penicl, charcoal. Its just glass. The heat burns it away usually. It is a special paper that is made of nylon I belive. It escapes me but you could use any paper as long as you have a wire mesh over it. that is how some people do it to.
@@Cristheneonartist the original bending material was asbestos paper, then it was fiberglass with a silicon coating. Both of these are expensive and you have to transfer the pattern. The mesh over paper is a quicker way to get bending.

Incredible! Great video. The guy scares me to death I think he's going to break it
What was that measuring move you did just before 15:21. ? Before using the blow tube. What were those two marks. Particularly the second?

That's so awesome!!! I've not seen torches like yours are they propane, oxygen?
Usually propane and air. From a compressor or a blower
Standard set of American style torches...5 point crossfire...16" ribbon burner and T 500 hand torch. Natural gas a a little forced air.
Drop it likes it hot
I've done that! Hahaha!
