  • In response to a viewer question, this is a quick video on the donning process when a belt is used with the Fire Innovations Multi-Use Strap and Securing Strap.

What belt are you using with the multi use strap in the video?

@@Swirlydread730 In the video I am using the Cheyenne belt. As mentioned, it is for over the coat. I had initially purchased it so I could use it with pants that did not have loops and simply put it on over the coat. However, having a belt dedicated to your turnout pants is far quicker in my opinion if you have one dedicated to you. For some departments that can't issue belts to each member, it may be best to issue belts like the Comanche or Mohawk that can fit a range of people and be assigned to a riding position.
Another consideration is to have one ring or two. The Cheyenne has two rings so you have a center attachment point for the MUStrap for example. A second ring is to allow the escape kit to remain attached in my pocket and connected to the belt. When I need to deploy, I simply swing the ring forward if I have a moment. If not, simply hook the sill and go. Two rings/attachment points does take up slightly more room under the coat.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
